My Favorite
As a cake baker and decorator for over two years, I find this to be the best tasting fondant in my opinion. I never did like the taste of fondant but a year ago I started using Wilton's fondant and found that it doesn't taste bad. Here are the noticeable differences (good and bad) between Satin Ice and Wilton. The good: Satin Ice taste better than Wilton and it's not overly sweet. It's more pliable. The amount of kneading time is considerably less. It takes color really quick and evenly with the smallest anount being used. Most of my customers who claim to not like fondant will eat Satin Ice. Wilton: It's thick and covers better than Satin Ice. The taste is tolerable. Cheaper than Satin Ice. The bad: Satin Ice is kinda thin. It feels tacky when placed on cakes but will dry in a few minutes. It's more expensive than Wilton. Wilton: Takes a lot of coloring to achieve desired result. Drys out quickly. Many will not eat it. All in all you have to decide for yourself. You are the one using it. My success may not be your success and my failure may not be your failure. Good luck.

Best tasting fondant EVER!
You need fondant? Buy this one. Seriously, it's freaking amazing. I have been decorating cakes for fun for years and have always been frustrated by either the time that it takes to make homemade fondant or the gross taste of the readily available store bought fondant. Fondant is the best for creating impressive cakes, but so many people get turned off to fondant on the first taste. I was so happy to discover Satin Ice and have already used 30+lbs of this stuff across many cakes (I know, that's a lot of fondant!) Aside from the great taste, this fondant takes color easily without getting sticky or streaky. I've never had problems with Satin Ice drying out too quickly or getting lumpy either. I've used the white vanilla, black vanilla and buttercream varieties all with consistently great results. Even if you are just using this fondant for decorative elements on cupcakes or buttercream cakes, you will be pleased. This stuff retains fine detail from molds and keeps it shape well when you hand form it too. My number one favorite way to use this fondant is to create petal dust "paints" with clean vanilla extract and paint directly onto the cake. I've included some pictures of the first cakes I made with this fondant. Hope your cakes turn out great too!

Not as good as homemade, but it's close
When You mention the word fondant, immediately people stop you and voice their disgust towards the awful taste and texture along with a scowl. Fondant has come along way from the days of the plastic ice that had the taste of sugary plumbing putty. I normally make my own, but when I have several large orders, I want a quality fondant. Satin Ice currently meets my standards. It rolls out nicely, does not dry out quickly and has a decent subtle flavor and a mild sugar taste. The fondant does not dominate your own cake flavor. When I paint on decorations there is very little bleeding, and when I kneed in color it absorbs it nicely. I use the white fondant vanilla, because I prefer to make my own colors and it has a nice marshmallow taste. If you’re a novice when using fondant, I suggest you practice with a thriftier brand, but use Satin Ice for the cake you plan on serving to your family, friends or guests.

Not happy
Not 5 stars, because it dries very quickly, giving you cracks. Not very happy with this product

Perfect for cakes and florals ❤️
Perfect in great condition easy to use, I don’t understand why they’re saying they got a bad bucket when in reality if it’s left on sun exposure it will get flakey it’s only those people that don’t know nothing about fondant are the bad reviews I got mine and it’s perfect 👌

Love Love this fondant , yes it’s pricey. But it’s coming a long way and I use it for special cakes. The taste is wounderful not overly sweet , texture is very nice even when adding colour. I have bought this twice before , it has so far not let me down . As with some other fondants who have changed their ingredients and when adding colour they seem greasy and split this so far is like the first time I used it hence why I pay the price.
