IRWIN 2078310 Vise-Grip forged Wire Crimper with ProTouch Grips, 10-Inch

Works better than any of the other cheap crimpers I have. Blamed the cheap connectors... well it was the tool. First few connectors I put on. Simply fantastic! Couldn't pull them apart. Quality part for sure. Sharp? Don't know, I only use it for crimping.

When you get the crimped fittings in the side up it's very secure lots of leverage tight connection

I bought a second one and overall, newer plier is 1/4” longer and crimp tooth seems to be sharper and steeper than original one. I have a GB crimper on my mechanics cart that I don’t use often and it isn’t nearly the same quality or delivers the same crimping power vs the Irwin. The Irwin is specifically for electronics. So now I have left the GB in the trash bin and the new plier taking its place. There are no other crimper out there that can make such a solid crimp like this plier crimper for this type of work. Love em and indeed will last a very long time. Check out the quality crimp shown. You have 50/50 saying don’t crimp on the slit but my logic is if you do, both slits bite into the copper and holds better. Maybe I’ll do a test one day. Cheers.

I LOVE Irwin tools! This crimper is fantastic! It's beefy, and has some weight to it, so I feel like it's got some good quality to it. It's not too heavy for a lot of use though. It's simple to use. Insert your connector into the right channel and squeeze. That's it. Done. Great tool from Irwin, as always!

Good price, good quality and availability

These crimpers will do the job. They give good leverage. I bought these for home use. I have a set of Klein crimpers and I like my Klein crimpers much more. klein and channelock have 2 different spots for crimping. These spots are insulated and non insulated. On the Irwin crimpers it looks like it is just 2 different sizes for noninsulated. It says in the description that these are for insulated as well though. I have used them and I squeezed right through the plastic on my wire connectors, but they still hold well so they do the job. If I had to do it all over, I would probably go with channelock next time.

Great multi tool to replace having multiple pliers in your tool kit can strip cut and crimp and not worry about damaging your cutter on your expensive wire strippers ect

Excellent crimper

Herramienta pesada, dura de difícil uso. Algo incómodo su forma de la cabeza para poder acceder entre varios cables.
