It is a good tool holder with thick padding with decent size to hold lots of hand tools in a neat and easily accessible set up. Very durable as I do not observe replacing these too often due to wear and tear out in the field. It is worth the value for its lasting use.

I took a long time looking around for the right tool carrier for my new wood turning hobby and this electrician's tote turned out to be exactly what I needed. Because I started off turning wooden pens and lots of small parts are required, the storage tray tray hidden in the base of the bag comes in very handy for keeping bushings, brass tubes, spare parts, etc. organized and readily available. Plenty of pockets, zippered compartments, nooks and crannies are very satisfying if you're the kind of guy who likes to keep your stuff conveniently located as well as portable. Besides loving this tool carrier, I am writing this review because there is a tip I want to share that has to do with the condition the item arrived in when Amazon shipped it. You'll notice in the pictures of this tool carrier the handle flaps stand straight up and down. They are in fact pretty rigid and designed to stand up out of the way of the storage on either sides of the tote. Unfortunately, when mine arrived it had been packed in a box that required the handle flaps to be pushed down to one side. As a consequence, the flaps would not stand up even when I loaded the bag up and suspended it over night in an effort to get them to straighten out. This may not seem like a big issue but I found with the flaps bent to one side, I was having a hard time getting to items stored on that side of the carrier. After a few weeks of this and nearly on the verge of deciding to return the tote, I came up with a solution. I figured there had to be some kind of a plastic insert inside those flaps keeping them rigid so if I could heat them up a little I might be able to straighten them out. I took a small hair dryer my girlfriend leaves at my house and used this to warm up the flaps while the bag was suspended. I moved the hair dryer around a lot to keep from burning the canvas covering and I worked on both sides of each flap alternating back and forth. After about 5 minutes of this the annoying curvature in the flaps relaxed and my tool carrier now looks like the one in the picture. I left the carrier hanging up overnight and there hasn't been any relapse into the bent position. Go ahead and order this nifty tool carrier if you think it will suit your needs and if you run into the same problem I did just pull out a hair dryer and in 5 minutes or so, it will be like you bought it off the shelf at your local hardware store.

The sturdiness alone is amazing. The size of it is great too. I'm a maintenance tech and I just started my new position. I wanted a tool that has an open concept because I seen my coworker have one. This is great for when I'm on a ladder/bucket and my tools are right there

Been using this bag for 6 months and has held up well. Due to size it tends to get over loaded and very heavy , but thats on me. This thing will hold a crazy amount of hand tools and meters and keep them fairly well organized.

Some very nice upgrades in this model over the past ones. I've been using these for about 25 years as my primary tool kit. Taking the plastic box out and putting it on the side was a big step up. Especially because you don't have to lift it every time so that you can pull the plastic out, and, it changed the design so that as the kit aged, you didn't have tools falling through the stitching of the pockets into the bottom . They improved the way your tools fit into elastic on the ends, adding more slots and a little bit more space and I'm quite happy about it. It doesn't have a small a footprint as the older one like this, but I'm okay with that.

I bought this to hold my standard household tools. Before this I had a standard toolbox with a lid and a widemouth zip-up tool bag. The lidded toolbox worked fine, but you always had to unlatch it to get to your tools, then relatch it later, and sometimes I just wanted to be able to go grab what I needed quickly, so I would leave it unlatched, and tools would start accumulating around it on the shelf. So I got myself a widemouth canvas tool bag. It was large and had a plethora of pockets for all of my goodies, but I found that it would sag and fold down over the pockets sometimes making it difficult to get to things. Plus it's overall floppiness annoyed me. Enter the LeatherCraft 1528. Pockets to hold everything I need, stiffness and open design to aid in the location and procurement of my required tools, easy grab handle and supercool looks. I currently have the following in mine. Ratcheted multibit screwdriver Cordless driver Corded Drill drill bit, screwdriving tip and socket sets - all in small square cases. 12' extension cord (for my drill) Alien multitool for mtn bike Channel lock pliers 3 small pliers crescent wrench Staple gun with staples standard claw hammer Household nail set on outside - Nails, screws, drywall anchors, etc in container on bottom. Other Small items: Safety glasses, glue, wd40, small ratcheted wrench screwdriver, gloves, magnetic studfinder, file, pencil, boxcutter, tape measure. There is room for 5 or 6 more small tools such as screwdrivers or wrenches. Bottom Line: If you are an average home owner and weekend handyman, this is the tool carrier for you.
