Who thought a plastic container could have such an impression?
I love the Rubbermaid Easy Find Lid containers. I know at first I was tempted to purchase a less expensive type of container, thinking that these were the same thing, but they are absolutely not. Let me start by saying that if you plan on purchasing these, they make multiple types of easy find lit container sets and they are not all created equally. This set is my favorite because it is sturdy and will last (unlike the available glass version) and you can easily see through the containers (unlike the tinted version). Plus, these ones are cheaper than either the glass or tinted kind, making it the perfect set to buy. This set has 9 containers, but 3 of them are small, 4oz containers, so it is a relatively small set. This is a good size for one person, but for families, purchase the 40 piece set.The other great thing about these containers is that they are completely microwave safe. Unlike cheap competitor brands that start to melt after too many trips to the microwave or dishwasher, these hold up and feel sturdy in the hand like more expensive products. The last thing I wanted to mention was the lid. Most containers on the market today have thin plastic lids that tend to break and crack extremely easily. These containers have a flexible top lid that has no hard plastic parts that can easily break when opening. I actually don't use the easy-lid signature feature, which is that the lid snaps to the bottom of the container, but that feature is also there if you want it.

Second Set
This is my second set and I love the fact that the lids connect. Even more, I love that I can set up both sets in my cabinets. I do put one set of large in front of one set of the smaller containers, and do the opposite in the next row so that they won't go over the shelf. And I can close the cabinet. I can get both sets in a small amount of space...saves space for other things. I just throw the tiny set to the sides. These are really the sizes that you most often use. I put all the other odd shapes and sizes in storage in the garage. I love that they don't take up much room and that's including stacking the lids underneath. They're not sliding all over the place as the lids stay together and the squarish bowl parts are locked into place on top. If you want storage containers that don't take up all your space in your cabinets and that don't slide all over the place causing a mess, then this is the set for you. I love them and I'm glad I got them...and I'm not going to be buying any other brand from now on. This is it for me. They should have pictured them the way they sack because that's their best feature.

Budget and Space Friendly
My kitchen is TINY, so everything must be useful and organized. These containers have been my lone food storage for years. What I love:Inexpensive compared to Tupperware. If my kid loses a container it doesn't break into their college fund.Lids hold their size and shape well over frequent top shelf dishwasher cycles.Tight seal keeps foods fresh a long time. Two standard sized footprints mean compact stacking in my cupboards, no matter how many containers I have.Broad, smooth sides for masking tape food/date labels. What you should know:Please don't microwave your food in these or place already steaming hot food in them. They are plastic. Heat causes plastic to degrade and you don't want to eat degraded plastic, do you? Hot food in plastic containers will also cause the containers to warp or stain. Overall, these containers have held up well to moderate temperatures, but if you are going to warm up your leftovers, dish the food onto a microwave safe plate first, then heat.

Excellent Food Storage Containers
These are really a lovely set of storage containers that you can use in the microwave. They are also safe to use in fridge, freezer section and dishwasher. The important thing for us is that they are BPA Free Plastic. Now on occasion my colleagues' wife puts together a rather nice Indian meal, the spices used especially `Turmeric' always managed to leave a stain in our storage containers, but with these Rubbermaid products there is no staining and no leftover odours either. Their unique design lends itself to efficient storage. At the time of writing this review, we ordered our 18 piece set - which really works out to 9 containers and 9 lids - from Amazon.com.We highly recommend these Rubbermaid containers and lids; they are good quality and can be found for a very good price

Does what it's supposed to :)
Love that the lids connect to the bottom of each container, making finding a lid EASY!! Hate that my family can't seem to get the concept of putting them away together and making my dream of total organization a reality. I use the tiny cubes for room-temp butter instead of a butter dish, since we use very little. Also makes a great soy-sauce container. I add TONS of wasabi to mine for sushi at home, and frequently have a little leftover (but no more wasabi :-[ ) that I can use the next day on rice or whatever, so I store it and don't have to lose the spicy goodness! :)

Disappointed in seal of product.
I wanted something microwave safe from freezer to fridge. The description states that on Amazon, but no where on the box does it say anything more than it's for storage purposes. The smallest of the cups are ridiculously small, but I did know that from the product description. It's just more shocking to see it in person. On top of it.....Bed, Bath and Beyond has the set for just 9.99. Would not recommend to friends. Target's description states that they should be hand washed only. Guess it's my bad for not doing research before buying. Lids leak. Put peanut butter in small container for lunch bag. Leaked the peanut oil everywear. The cheap disposable zip and glad containers seal better.Amendment. I soaked dry red kidney beans overnight and the container stained. Looks like I had stored tomato sauce. Even scrubbing won't remove it.Look for something else.
