Jiffy Steamer J-2000 Jiffy Garment Steamer with Plastic Steam Head, 120 Volt, Beige

Never thought I’d be someone who loves their steamer this much but I do! I originally bought it to steam my Indian wedding outfits. Ironing them can be a pain/impossible with the amount of fabric and heavy embroidery. I had every intention of either leaving it at my mom’s house or returning it after the wedding but I couldn’t! I’ve never been a fan of handheld steamers since they don’t really work but this thing is amazing! Like others have said, it won’t make hard creases in your clothes if you want that but it is very good at removing wrinkles from clothes. Since purchasing it I’ve used it on everyday clothes, Indian suits, and even my husband’s shirts, pants, and suits. It’s worked great for our needs! Haven’t had to pull out the iron in months. The steamer takes a minute or two to heat up. It will make a bubbling noise when water in the tank gets too low to create a constant steam. I usually refill it when it’s about half empty. It works best if you hang the clothing item against a surface then press the head of the steamer gently against the clothes. I bought a hanging steam mat also to put against the door and prevent damage from the steam. For longer clothes I will hang it from the top of thecloset door because the lower the steam hose is, the less steam comes out. It’s much better it it’s higher. It’s a little pricy but definitely worth it! It’s made life much easier. I actually miss it when I don’t have access to it like when we travel and need to dewrinkle our clothes.

I’ve tried so many handheld and travel steamers over the years, and nothing even comes close to the Jiffy. The difference in power is immediate. It produces a steady stream of steam within about two minutes. You can tell it’s built to last; the product feels professional-grade. I mainly use it for clothing, but I’ve also used it on bedding, and it works beautifully. It easily smooths out linen and thick cotton, and it even revives pieces that have been sitting in storage. I also love that I can refill it mid-session without having to wait for it to cool down. One small note: it’s not compact, so it’s more suited for a closet or laundry area than for travel. But that’s the trade-off for serious power and reliability. If you steam often or care about keeping your clothes looking crisp without ironing, this is absolutely worth the investment. It’s one of those products you buy once and never have to replace.

I bought the Jiffy Garment Steamer with the metal steam head and glad I did. The metal steam head helps to rid wrinkles better than plastic. I've had a plastic head steamer once before. This product is very well made and made in the USA. I like that. It helps if you have something like the Jiffy Steamer Steamboard so that you can press the clothing onto a hard cloth surface but they are fairly expensive. TIP: I have my ironing board hung on a door so what I do is use a hanger and hang my clothing in a way that it can be pressed against the hanging ironing board. It works quite well. Any steamer is not going to give the same results on cotton as an iron but it does a great job on blends, polyester, jersey, crepe etc and it does it quickly. It also heats up quickly. I emailed Jiffy with questions before I purchased and here are the answers to my questions: 1. Will the metal steam head ever rust? 2. What it is made of? 3. Is the metal head ok for delicate fabrics like silk? 4. If I use distilled water, will that prevent build up in the tank and head and would I still need a liquid cleaner? 5. Could I use CLR instead of your product to clean the tank? "The metal will not rust. It is aluminum and any moisture that comes through the head is hot and will evaporate. The metal works great on delicate fabrics. If you are steaming silk, you may want to consider putting a stocking/panty hose over the head to prevent and water droplets from getting on the fabric. Distilled water will help prolong the calcium build up put will not prevent it. You will definitely need to clean it at least once every 6 months with our cleaner. I have heard our technicians say there is something in CLR that can hurt the element so I wouldn’t use it. You may use white vinegar and water every 3 months for maintenance. This will help tremendously."

When it comes to ironing, I'm just plain lazy! I've always dreaded the chore and used to spend a lot on dry cleaning services. I came across Jiffy Steamer J-2000 and was quite impressed by its sturdy base and features. I figured that if it works well then I could cut my dry cleaning costs. All the more, after reading all the reviews on amazon I decided to to take the plunge. Fortunately for me it worked perfectly. Of course it did take a couple of days to master the technique to get wrinkle free, pressed clothes, but it was worth it. I was amazed as to how quickly and efficiently the steamer heats up and removes the wrinkles on most of the garments. I just have to hang my t-shirts on a hanger and place it on the hook provided and then switch on the steamer. The result is quite impressive. It takes care of 90% of my wardrobe and is definitely a great appliance. Something I have to mention is that though the steamer works well on most of my garments, I still have to send my cotton shirts to the dry cleaners for the crispy look and perfect finish or IRON THEM MYSELF, so that I can wear them for a formal day out. No points for guessing that they land up at the dry cleaners! This is the reason I have given the product four stars. I highly recommend this product and my advice to anyone who is looking for a fast, easy, time saving substitute to ironing is to purchase this product.

Amazing. Don’t waste your money on professional rowenta models. I’ve had two 1550W Professesional dreamers that broke after a year of daily use. Piece of crap. This Jiffy on the other hand is incredible. Think: Rowenta 1550 = A professional like Trump Jiffy = actually does what is intended and expected each and every time

Love the steamer as I use it regularly, purchased for my birthday April, 4, 2019 received April 8, 2019, and set it up and used it right away. Regular use weekly and found the black rubber baffle cap worn out. I would definitely register and ask to get a replacement or two to have on hand. I have been using JIFFY steamers for over 25 years. Loved the pink retro colour to match my decor. I would recommend this product. It does not disappoint on making your clothes look fresh & pressed. Sadly, water container/reservoir cracked immediately

Coming from a skeptic I did my research and ordered the J-2000 Jiffy Garment Steamer and kept my fingers crossed. So impressed with the quality, the stability, the fast response, the cute pink color and the overall brilliance of this product. GOODBYE irons. This is the way to go. It is expensive but not considering the quality and how quickly it works and how well it works. HIGHLY recommend and to all the skeptics out there - I cannot vouch for all steamers but I can vouch for this one. It is glorious. I keep mine ready to go in the spare room and it is cute as a button too. So glad I followed my research and bought a quality product right off the bat rather than buying and failing with cheaper steamers first. Amazon also gave awesome delivery service.

I used it in the UK, it stopped many twice. I used it only for 2 days.
