Like it, don't love it
I like it, I don't love it. I have been into photography for a few years now, mostly landscape and other outdoor photographs. I've been interested in branching out into portraits and other "in-home" type photography. After combing through a lot of the packages Amazon offers of this type, I would definitely say that it is a great starter pack. It did take a few minutes to set up but was relatively easy. With a few practice shots, I was on my way to decent portrait shots...not great but better than I imagined them turning out. However, I quickly noticed that I wasn't satisfied with the amount of light produced by the four stands provided. I setup my studio next to a window for additional, natural light. This set would be better paired with a more powerful strobe flash, softbox, or at least higher wattage bulbs.

Overall good deal.
It's a great deal. However I ended up buying a bigger background because the ones that come are literally half the size of the width of the poles. Also the umbrellas are very cheaply made. If it falls over they bend easily. Also the small knob to secure the actual umbrella pole to the stand keeps popping off. The actual inner screw pulled out as I was tightening it to secure it. I beleive the light bulbs are just basic but they work. I actually have no idea really which umbrella is for what but my pictures come out great. Glad I made the purchase. My friends and I love doing photoshoots before heading out. I've taken pictures for my friends for graduation and pets. Family portraits are great as well. Definitely worth it! :)

Great for the price
Carrying case is a little on the cheap side for the stitching so don't expect to use the handles to carry it, but other than that you are getting what you pay for. It is very easy to assemble. I am not too pleased with the brightness but opted for more hardware than brighter lights, other backdrop sets included brighter bulbs but took away light stands and umbrellas. I figured if I needed brighter lights it was easier to just purchase brighter bulbs. Muslins are very transperant so make sure there is no light source behind it. In the end still a great set up for the average user.

Great for a Start up Photographer!
Bought this for my mom for her new start up business as a professional Photographer, and she loves it! It helped her to take very nice professional looking photos. However upon opening up one of the umbrellas we quickly realized it had a decent sized whole in the it and we were unable to use it, and unfortunately we had the windows open while having the other black umbrellas open and it blew over breaking that only good one left. Ended up buying 2 more black umbrellas.

Love the lighting and the price
These lights are working out great for me. I do not use these too often but when I do they are great. I looked around a lot and this was the best product for the price. Of course I could have spend a small fortune on the same thing with a little bit better quality but these are great. I use these in my green room and interviews, both in my studio and out in the field, Yes you have to be careful with them they are not as sturdy as the pro set. I would recommend this set for any one.

Cheap and cheaply made!
When I first opened this product, it looked really great! It came way sooner than I expected, especially since I live in Hawaii!! I was so happy about that. But when I took things out to put together, one of the T screws? (When you open the stand and turn the Tscrews it tightens it so it won't move) Fell out! The whole thing. The little nut that is in it was not properly placed in. It's very light weight, the lights were perfect, the umbrellas are great! The stand is ok in my opinion. You could always buy some pvc pipes and make your own. It takes up A LOT of room when it's all put together. The muslin is always wrinkled I suggest getting seamless paper. It does NOT look like the picture. They also look smaller and less wide so I doubt you could get a group of 5 people in it. All in all I got what I paid for, and it's great for just starting out business wise, These are NOT lights that go off with your camera, those are flash guns and you need a trigger and receiver just FYI for the photographer starting out.

nice package...
I've used this product on streamline sets and it works really well. There are better products on the market bit for the price it world really well. You need to get the muslin clips to hold the screens in place, other than that its a must buy if you need this kind of equipment. The light cords are short so you need extensions and the soft bag makes putting the equipment away a challenge, bit bags can be purchased and extensions are cheap. I recommend the product highly.

This is really nice!
I bought this kit because it was inexpensive and had decent reviews. It turned out to be one of the nicests finds I have had to date. I needed to do a few photo shoots for the holidays and decided I would buy a "disposable" studio. Something cheap that would last 4 or 5 shoots. Boy, was I wrong (in a good way)! The kit has a very professional-like quality to it, and, so far, seems very durable. I am able to re-pack the contents back into the carrying case without any issues. For me, everything is better than expected. The equipment, fixtures, and back drops are finely made and work and perform without any issue. Everthing is there that I needed to complete my tasks without issue.
