Philips BDP2100/F7 Blu-ray Disc/DVD Player (Black)

I bought both of mine refurbished on Amazon. This is the second one I've bought and both are excellent players. Sharp crisp picture for Blu-ray and DVDS. Best of all its easily switched to Region Zero so you can play foreign DVDs (which is one of the main reasons I love this model so much). To run the unlock code, just do a search on Google for philips BDP2100 unlock code. You'll easily find simple instructions which require you to input a numeric code using the player's remote control. Shipping was super fast and the refurbished players both arrived looking and running good as new.

I wanted this unit because a relative has the same one. And with the USB port on the front I could play video from an external hard drive. I ordered this player on Oct 1, 2014. It did not ship until Oct 7, 2014. I received it Oct 10, 2014. And it does not work. I plugged it in and got a green power light. Power button does nothing. Eject button does nothing. No reaction to remote control. And with that green light on there is no display on my TV. I am still waiting on a reply from the seller.

I ha a previous Philips DVD player which lasted 28 yrs. This item was a good price with free shipping. The unit functions nicely so far except for one problem. It will not turn off from the remote or the unit. I have to unplug it for 30 seconds each time. So I have contacted Philips and am working with them. If not for this problem I would have given it 5 stars. I also really like the size and light weight of the unit. It is easy to use for my particular usage. I would recomend this item for others.

Reasonably priced, works great. Only set back: there are no controls on the device. Don't lose the remote!!

Was disappointed to see that after paying what I did, the machine does not come with the HDMI cord necessary to plug it into the TV, only the power cord. The price is not what it appears when you have to spend an additional $20 for necessary plug-ins. Machine is good quality though.

The sounds cuts out periodically, despite a strong internet connection. I returned the first, thinking it was a lemon, but the second one does it to!

I could not get this set to my TV. It looked as if it was stuck in zoom mode ? I played with it for a few hours changing every setting on the player and tv that I could think of with no luck. Decided to call for tech support. I could not find a number anywhere with the included paperwork. I had enough by then. Boxed it up and sent it back for credit.

I bought this to play Blu-ray discs and this item does just that, make sure you order an hdmi cable when you order this because one is not included in the box...
