Here's the Straight Facts
my system:2 Infinity Kappa 6929I 2-way 6x9 inch2 Infinity Kappa 629I 225W Two-Way Speakers 6-1/2 x 6-3/4 -Inch2 Infinity 109T 1--Inch Edge-Driven UHF Dome TweeterJVC KW-R800BT Double Din In-Dash receiverPros:A optional remote gain adjuster/killswitch . (basically a little remote you can put under your dash, or have installed, that allows you to adjust your sub volume without having to touch the actual sub. great for cop avoidance or bad neighborhoods.)plenty of different bass level adjustments to make sure you get the most of out of this sub and others if you've got em. and if you have a versatile receiver/head-unit then you can really milk this sub for all shes worth.Possibly one of the easiest mounting kits in the game, im not a expert at installation by any means and i got a professional looking mount all the way back in my trunk with no problems. Its smart bass too, its not a sub that hits really hard on some bass levels and then barely hits on that certain song. Ive only found a few songs with low enough bass levels to not sound right on this sub, but i really had to look.Built-in amp.if youve ever installed a system on your own then having a entire step you can skip is kinda as good as it gets.Oh and compatibility too! its got all the inputs, outputs, jacks and plugs that your little musical mind can ever need!Cons:by picking a sub with a built in amp your sacrificing one thing, the amp power.in my case its not a big deal, because where i live i need white guy safe bass levels and 200 watts powers my system fine. But even if you needed more power this sub has so many connection options that you could link up another amp, sub, or another Infinity Basslink with ease.Loudness, if you buy this hoping to get that bass thatll shake your whole car pretty good then this 'ALONE' isnt it. plain and simple. With the other infinity speakers and JVC head unit i got it all works wonderfully together so i can tweak it to get that kind of car-disassembling bass, but if this 'ALONE' is your bass producer for your car then itll be about like a hard hitting stock sub.all aroung great price for a all in one sub system.oh and remember with any new speakers start your volume off at a medium level and then turn it up a few ticks at a time. break em in or they'll break.

What a value!
First, background on my musical tastes and electronics. I love sound and bass and usually will only have high grade electronics. However in my BMW 330 convertible there were not many options to upgrade the sub and since the car is still under warranty I did not want to void any of my future options, nor did I want to invest too much in case I want to trade as this is a pleasure car. I did the install in about two hours using the stock subwoofer speaker wires for input. I also mounted horizontally and secured only with bungees around feet to stabilize. The trunk is small and any permanent mount would affect access to spare tire, etc.The ability to produce sound is impressive. I have it crossed at approximaetly 70 hz and the gain is on minimum and there is no bass boost. I did install the remote control and it has the ability to rattle the trunk. I have the remote runed to about 10 am and this is with top up. It seems to function extremely well to about 30hz and below that it is lacking. You are going to feel the thump in your chest but you will not get those visceral vibrations that you will get out of larger more powerful subs. That being said, I am still extremely pleased as I am yet to hear a stock radio except for an upgraded M6 with a 2000 dollar upgraded stereo sound better. I just cannot believe the difference that this sub has made in my system. I would recommend this product without reservation just realize that it does take up some usable trunk space. So if you are putting it there it is going to definitely make its presence known. For an suv, I think it would not be as consuming of space as there would be more options for mounting. The basslink is definitely the economical way to upgrade your system unless you want reference levels of bass in your car and want to rattle your neighbor's house.Oh, BTW, it was rattling plates on shelves inside our kitchen through the garage wall that has Icynene insulation that is amazingly sound deadening. So realize when I say it lacks some low end output, I am comparing to systems that cost thousands of dollars.
