The Tap Cap belt series uniquely incorporates a bottle opener into the buckle.

somewhat disappointing but typical
I bought one of these belts a few years ago and have been very happy with it. I recently noticed it was beginning to show some wear, which is not surprising after a few years. Anyway, I bought a replacement, and as is common these days, it's evident that corners have been cut to save money and increase profits. The belt material is a little lighter, maybe a little narrower, and definitely shorter in length. In addition, the buckle is made of a lighter weight material than the original. Still a decent product, but not as good as the original. I see on the Bison website that they offer a Grateful Dead line. I was thinking of gift shopping for some Deadhead friends, but I'm having second thoughts due to the reduction in quality.

Heavy duty fabric belt that gets the job done and looks pretty good
This belt is kind of in disguise. It looks kind of dressy but it very heavy duty. The material is a bit stiff at first but with time I assume it will soften. Seems to "lock" into place easy. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that the end of the belt kind of "pokes" you but I should be able to fix that with a lighter. Bottle opener is kind of a cool novelty. Now - getting the girlfriend to use it while I wear it would be the fun part :)

"Graphite" is blue
The graphite color is actually blue. It looks nothing like the photo, on any of my computer/mobile screens. Although there is a grayish tint to the color, it's so obviously blue that I don't think most people would reasonably choose the word "graphite" to describe it.I can't comment on the other features of the belt, because I didn't bother taking it out of it's plastic bag. As soon as I saw the color, I immediately started a return with Amazon. I may re-order in black, but don't want to risk trying another color after this experience.

Very sturdy
This belt is very very very sturdy. It functions as a belt and bottle opener. When it's singed down around your waist there can be a panic to undo if you have to pee really bad so keep that in mind. It's some times a struggle to undo.As for a bottle opener, sometimes it's a pain and I end up using something else.

Works enough
I bought this to replace a much more expensive belt from Yeti. It opens bottles easily (does look a little awkward considering where you are doing it). Amazing how often I've used it, though maybe I have a little problem of sorts : ) Mid-rating because the webbed belt itself began to fray on the edges after a month of use.

These darn things will outlive me!
This is my third belt from Bison. Not that I wear them out, but have three pants on a rack ready to go from work, casual wear and outdoor ready. These Bison belt buckles have nothing to wear out. It will outlast the canvas belt it comes with as well as myself.

Love it!
No dislikes at all! It is a bit stiff until broke in and seems to slip and loosen up until breaks in as well. All in all, its a great belt and while I haven’t and don’t use the bottle opener part of the buckle design, it looks great and it is there if I ever need it.This is my second belt from Bison and my first one lasted 8 years with only scuffing wear on the edge of the webbing at the buckle.

Great belt. Elegant, durable, timeless.
I have this belt in two colors. I love it. I quit drinking years ago, so the bottle opener thing is kind of a needless novelty for me, but I think it makes the buckle outline look for distinct and interesting. The nylon is thick and durable, and this belt stays put. Well worth the modest asking price, and I love that it's made in the USA!

sturdy and durable
I had a narrower Bison belt with the same buckle that I bought at MEC and wanted a wider one. Excellent product, sturdy and durable.
