One of the best kinect games and a great workout
I received this game on September 28th put the disc in and did the fitness test. Expecting it to not be able to see me for sit ups and push ups i was happily surprised to find that it counted every rep and i did not have to move the camera angle although i did have to move the camera angle for jumping jacks every exercise i have done since the fitness test has no problems when having the angle set for push ups and sit ups. I am in a dorm room with about 7ft of space length and 6ft of space width I'm about 6ft tall. I am doing the 30 day program for building muscle and it is quite a workout and I'm in pretty good shape. After each session the next day i am sore. I say if you got a decent sized room to use then UFC personal trainer will be a great asset to your workout routine. And hit the mitts is awesome.

Best workout game for Kinect to date
I was skeptical to get another workout game for Kinect. Every one of them that I have tried have left me either irritated with the constant chatter, had finicky movement tracking, or plain had very little content with which to actually perform workouts. For example, Your shape had maybe a little over a dozen different workouts and no way to customize or modify them. The background music is terrible for working out and the instructors repeat themselves constantly. This game delivered much better on many of these issues saves a few. The instructors again repeat the same 3 or 4 lines during a workout and can get incredibly annoying. Again, there is no way to filter out this mid workout garble without shutting off all the dialog. Unfortunately again, there is no way to import your own music into the workouts but at least you can pick from a few different genres of music for background so that is a plus. The improvements of this game over any previous title though are considerable. You can now custom build workout programs to fit your specific desired workouts or you can jump into many of the different preformed workout plans. It even has different 30 and 60 day challenges that focus on different areas of improvement for you. This range from anything from fat burning to increasing endurance to strength and speed training. It also has different workouts you can perform if you happen to have a basic weights set which again is a nice perk. The tracking in this game is about as good as the tracking in Your shape. It is pretty good and it usually tracks all of your movements. However it isn't as picky as Your Shape in that if you do not complete a movement exactly right or not in synch with the trainer it is OK. I found this to be a perk but some people prefer the trainer yelling at you whenever your out of sync or performing sloppy movements. Occasionally with certain exercises though it does have difficulties reading full movements and as such, you can end up getting dinged for exercises you actually performed correctly. Intensity wise, this program is much more strenuous than Your shape although the beginner routines aren't particularly hard. My only wish is that they had put in some kind of modes that allows the program to interface with training equipment to better boost the workout experience. I personally have a body opponent bag that I would love to be able to strike at instead of doing shadow boxing against a virtual bag on screen that provides no resistance when striking. All in all if you are looking for a at home workout program, this is the one I would recommend to anyone that can get into a little more strenuous workouts at home. Some are martial arts based but from what I have experienced so far, many are basic cardio, strength, and toning exercises. It's worth the buy if you are looking for a good workout program to help you stay on track as it will program days of the week that you need to sign in and do your workouts on to stay on track. This is helpful for those kinds of people that struggle to stay dedicated to this kind of thing without some kind of schedule.

Great workout
I don’t care to go the gym all the time but I know I need an active lifestyle to keep healthy. This game allows me the freedom to play as the big kid I am and workout as the responsible, self caring adult I am. This game will really make you workout!

Too glitchy to work UPDATE: better UPDATE 2: Sick of it
As a beginner to this type of exercise I can say that I really felt the routines were very good and challenging. I could instantly feel some tightness in my mid-section and additional strength in my legs. However, this game has serious issues in that sometimes it doesn't recognize your moves correctly or gets stuck in a loop. My routine had 12 segments. On the 7th segment it got stuck in some loop and wouldn't stop asking me to do the same exercise. It also had arrows which supposedly would indicate which direction to lunge, but they didn't match what the trainer was doing on screen so I wasn't sure what to move, but every way I tried was wrong. I couldn't get it to register even 4 lunges even though I probably did about 50. The biggest problem is that you can't stop in the middle of routine and return to it at the same place. You basically start all over at the beginning of the day or get no credit for doing it. I really really hate this "game" because it basically makes it impossible to track your progress. I know I'm still doing the exercises (well at least most of them) but it would be nice to have some positive feedback from this damn game instead of it telling me I'm missing workouts. THQ claims they have fixed these bugs but the really haven't. I've downloaded their patches and it still doesn't help. Thanks THQ for wasting my money and time. UPDATED 8/23/11: Well I turned off the "Demos" so at least that helped avoid some of the glitches. Its a little annoying for some of the exercises which I don't know how to do, but if you wait the trainer will show you once, which is enough. On the positive side, the workouts are really good and change up every day so you don't get bored and they probably are more effective. I wish the programs had more of the kicking and punching in them and less V ups and leg lifts, but they are very effective for strengthening the core. Unlike other workout games that got boring really quickly, I actually look forward to doing this one and even wanted to do it on my "day off" so I did a different routine with a different trainer. It didn't track the workout but it was still fun to do. UPDATED 11/28/11: These workouts have been good for me, I've gotten stronger and lost weight but I just can't take this horrible game action. There are some movements that it never recognizes, particularly with the hurdle hops. I can't really be jumping up and down like a lunatic in my living room shaking the whole house. Did THQ realize that being a Kinect game that some people might have neighbors that don't want to hear them jumping up and down on their heads? The worst part is not being able to skip any exercises without quitting the whole session. My knee is currently very agitated so the high impact jumping excercizes are a problem but I still would like to do the low impact stuff like crunches and V-ups. It's all or nothing with this POS game. I'm sick of the same exact warm up and cool down every single day. There are so many other things I could complain about but I'm done wasting my time with this thing. If you want a good 30 to 90 workout program, this is good for the short term. I was able to learn to deal with all the bugs for a bit but I don't need all this extra frustration giving me another excuse to not workout.

Good excercise program
First....the seller did good job, probably will buy from him again. Ok, now the game; helps you track your progress, cal burned and i've find it challenging. routines change from day to day, so you wont get bored. The activities section is the one i like the most, the first day kept me moving for more than 2 hours straight. Its not magical but if you keep up you will notice improvement. But...there is only one problem; not sure if the kinect is the real culprit here, but from time to time i had to restart the excercises that required me to lay on my back, because the game couldn't detect me correctly. i'll buy a kinect zoom to try to correct this since my living room is not that big.

It took me a while to figure out how to get the kinect to respond appropriately. But once I did, it worked alright. And can be a good workout. Got bored of it quickly though
