Excellent Product. Makes for a very professional looking cable. Very easy to install.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who makes their own ethernet cables. I make many cables as part of my job and I usually don't use strain reliefs at all because I just don't think they are necessary, but I found these clear ones and I might be purchasing and using strain reliefs now. The thing I like the most about these strain reliefs is how perfect the cable looks once both ends are crimped. Be sure to follow these steps in order: 1. Thread the ethernet cable through the strain relief. 2. Align your cables and use the EZ-RJ45 connector to thread the 8 cable pairs through. 3. Connect the strain relief to the connector. 4. Use the EZ-RJ45 Pro Crimping tool to crimp the entire thing... the connector and strain relief all at the same time. Then you have a perfect, professional looking cable. I love the way this goes perfectly with the connector end and makes for a very clean, great looking cable when completed. It doesn't look this way from the picture, but the back end of this strain relief does, in fact, bend like other strain reliefs. The part that looks like a slinky does move side to side. Looking at the picture, I figured that the entire strain relief would be a solid piece that doesn't move, but as I said before, the back of this does flex like other strain reliefs. The only thing I would improve on would be the price. Compared to the other traditional strain reliefs that are much cheaper, these are very expensive, but you do get what you pay for which is extremely good quality strain reliefs. The hooks on the front end of these strain reliefs latch onto the inside of the EZ-RJ45 connector which is why they both need to be crimped at the same time. If you have already crimped the connector, you won't be able to use this strain relief. I highly, highly recommend this product!!

Great strain reliefs very nice for price.
These strain reliefs are great, made some very nice cables with these. I really like the look after putting it together looks professional. Good value for the many great way to make cat 6 cables look professional. I have bought these twice and no problems at all.

Finish Off Your Custom Patch Cables With A Professional Look
Top quality. For those of you who don't know, these are made by Liberty Cable in CO. USA. They are a top choice for A/V professionals. There is no better. My only complaint is there are no choices of solid colors available. They make others that have a small strip of color and white boot, but none that are entirely one color.

Optional, But Easy to Add, Safer to Use
You don't have to use strain reliefs, but if you go through the effort of making your own cable and testing it, you might as well de-risk the connections from pulling back due to strain pulling on the cable. Instead of the full weight or tension in the cable pulling from within the compressed EZ-RJ45 end, you can offload that stress to pass through the EZ-RJ45 jack to the socket instead. It is really not much more effort than doing the EZ-RJ45 end itself. You just have to remember to put this piece on after you cut the wire before you start separating and assembling the end for the EZ-RJ45 itself. Then you just push the two together firmly before crimping and it all locks together and holds. Honestly, I never had a problem with an existing EZ-RJ45 connection going bad, with or without strain relief. But it only takes a few seconds to add during the normal EZ-RJ45 process. I takes me a while per EZ-RJ45 ending itself, so I add this insurance to my work so I don't have to redo later. You can see in some of the pictures how the strain would be more likely than in some of the others. The last picture shows one mixed in that doesn't have strain relief on it, and it too is just fine in that circumstance. I did all mine with CAT6 cable, which includes a spine, and it still fits like a glove very nicely.

Nice strain relief, works well with EZ-RJ45 system.
Work well with the EZ connectors, have not tried to see if they are compatible with others. I found that for longer cable runs, these connectors are worth it for their ease of use and the process but for short cables it is often cheaper to buy a premade (I am talking about 1', 2' component to component in a rack, etc.). I have not had tons of issues with the traditional cat6 connectors by Leviton that I also use, but these are significantly easier and if you do a fair amount of them the conversion is worth it just for time saved and not having to worry as much about wrestling those wires in. If you are making cables and just starting out and don't have all the tools already, I would easily recommend getting the EZ strippers and connectors system. If you already have the traditional strippers and clamp down tools then you will have to weigh the convenience vs price of getting another tool vs manual cutting of the wires with a blade or similar and still using your old clamp tool. Be aware you need to install the strain relief into the RJ45 before crimping (you can get it in there after crimping but it will likely de-clamp your wires). Also I have used this strain relief and the EZ RJ45s on both indoor UTP cat6 and outdoor gel-filled UTP cat6 with no issues in cable diameter, etc.

Doesn’t fit well. 😔
3 stars because of fitment. These don’t stay locked into place as they should. This might be intentional or could be my style of rj45 plug? After crimping, the locking piece that grabs the cable should hold this item in place. Mine were loose fitting. Aside from that they’re nicely made and look nice.

Great product. Not a failed connection yet and I ...
Great product. Not a failed connection yet and I have done about 40. My internet speed has improved greatly and is more reliable...before I was using standard cat5 ends on cat6 wiring.

Yep, it's a strain relief boot.
Wish it held onto the plug a little more snug, knocking a star for that, but otherwise they work fine.

The little hooks on the end should be a bit lower or deeper, they don't go lower than a standard cat 6a cable, meaning they don't hold onto the crimped bit inside the jack very well. You can pinch the ends so it holds onto the cable horizontally and that helps, but it'll still be lose. They look nice, though. These are good for fixed cables that aren't moved or plugged/unplugged often since they will come loose.

Say they're designed for CAT 6, but the jacks don't clamp enough to grip the strain relief meaning they just end up falling off
