Luminox FN.3900.26.2 Nato Black Strap

I like the band and it is certainly well made. I am pleased with the purchase as to the intended use of an older Luminox watch. My reason for the 5 stars is I needed a watch band that would prevent loss of the watch should one of the pins fail. I had another "sport" band that is similar in attachment in that it wove through the pins. Problem was the pins of that "sport" band was very puny. One pin failed after a rough contact with rope. Thus I decided to spring the bucks for the Luminox band. First off, the band is MUCH better quality, pins were longer and very beefy, band itself has smooth edges so that long sleeve clothing does not get caught or gets frayed be being in contact & rubbing against the watch band during the day. I loved the original rubber diving band and it lasted over 20 years but was looking very rough and a pin failed. Luckily it failed while at home so I did not lose the watch. So the thought of just one pin failing in the future and possibly losing the watch, well...I just did not want that to happen. That is why I chose the NATO strap as a replacement. Hope this helps anyone considering a replacement band for a trusty watch..

Quality of materials and construction are very high, my complaint is that the metal loops are excessively large and project a great distance away from the band. I just can't get used to the way the band looks on my wrist with the huge loops projecting off of it. I can easily imagine the loops acting as a lasso and hooking/snagging on things as I brush past. This is my first NATO-style band and I'm not sure if this is a common feature, but I would not purchase another if so. I wanted an upgrade from the stock rubber strap that failed after 2 years on the watch. I will be ordering a replacement for the original band at this point.

This is the band that should come on the Luminox watches from the factory. The rubber straps that come on the watches are crap. When you pay $350.00 for a watch you shouldn't be replacing the bands every 12 to 13 months due to them coming apart. The only down side to this strap is that it is a little long but that is easily fixed by trimming the excess off and then melting the edge with a soldering iron to prevent unraveling. I definitely recommend this as a replacement even if your rubber strap hasn't broken yet go ahead and get this one because the question is not if the rubber one is going to break but when is it going to break?

This is a fantastic replacement for the original rubber band. Installation was quick, easy, and intuitive. To disengage the pins I used a small, precision, flathead screwdriver.The band itself is a bit on the large size; there is ample room for the largest of wrists. If the user's wrist is smallish, then this could pose a problem.I like the aesthetics of the black nylon against the silver hardware. I hope this lasts longer than the factory rubber band it replaces as the original band only lasted 18 months with daily, light-duty use.

First let me start by saying that this band feels and looks very solid, however the description would lead you to believe this is a NATO strap which it is not. This is simply a nylon band. not knocking the band or construction again it is solid but there is a difference between a NATO strap and a nylon strap. It was my fault because if I had looked at the pictures it clearly shows a nylon strap and not the NATO strap. So if you want a nice nylon strap go for it but if you are expecting to receive a true NATO strap this is not what you will receive.

It is well made and very nice.Unfortunately, my wrists are on the smaller side so the buckle isn't centered under my wrist like a typical watch band. I'm starting to get used to it, but it is much different than I am used to.

Was tired of my rubber band on one of my Luminox watches and ordered this canvas/nylon band. This band transformed my timepiece and it looks like a totally new watch. The band is a bit stiff at first but after wearing it for a while, it will form to your wrist. This band may not fit anyone with a very small wrist since the band is rather large/ long. Great band at a great price!

A must for keeping your Luminox Gear product alike.One note to buy over other Nylon banded "NATO" style watch bands: this Luminox band has a much better clasp section on it as well as the three binding bucks that are welded shut and brushed stainless. (That means it will not self abrade and self destruct as you wear it.)Nylon makes it washable with hot water (without watch).3 sections make it nicer to double loop the extra tag end of the band when wearing.

The replacement band works great!
