SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SET - let me count the ways this set will delight Jane Austen fans!
There are many Jane Austen collections out there, but this boxed set is truly a thing of beauty! The hardcover books within are beautifully printed, weighty, and a handsome addition to any book lover's shelf. Whether a gift for a burgeoning Austenite or simply a gift for yourself, if you love Jane Austen's works, do not hesitate to purchase this lovely set. I will note that in the photos provided one could be forgiven for making the mistake of thinking the pages are gilded - they are NOT. Instead the paper stock used in the books is a medium/heavy weight that is a lovely creamy tone and so the page edges have a darker cast that could be confused for gold gilding (but again, these books are NOT GILDED). The illustrations within the books are charming and lend that almost antiquarian feel to this set, and the aforementioned cream colored page paper means you don't feel like the page is too 'bright' for long term reading (font is a very nice size too - not teeny-weeny like some thrift editions). Still, that did not diminish their beauty for me and considering the FANTASTIC PRICE I would absolutely give this set way more than 5 stars if I could. If you are gifting this to someone else, the box alone is sturdy, beautiful printed on all sides and the flap opens with a slight magnetic hold, so, honestly, you could put a bow on this for gift giving and be done! Highly recommended for any romantic literature lover and certainly for the Jane Austen fans regardless of age!

200 years ago and still wonderful reading today
Jane Austen wrote these novels two hundred years ago. Her first novel, Sense and Sensibility, was published in 1811, anonymously under the title "A Lady." She died at the age of 41 having written six completed novels and also a novella, while leaving some work uncompleted. Today, these books are still widely read, and I have almost finished the books in this assembly. I am in awe of how Jane Austen wrote such lovely and entertaining material in an age when women rarely wrote and were almost never published. With no one to guide her in her writing, she developed her novels from beginning to end. You may think you know how the book ends, but you don't know how she will get you there. So I sit back and enjoy reading along to the marvelous stories that unfold. Her novels are classics and enjoyable as much today as they were when written. Had she lived longer, what more pleasures she would have given us.The books are full size and come in a collector's storage case. When combined together, they are heavy but individually each book is easily held.

A Complete Collection
To find all Jane Austen novels reunited, also amongst them is her short story 'Lady Susan', was quite a treat and well worth the price. All hardcover, with beautiful ornate flower drawings on them, this collection brings a happy medium between the old classics and the modern conveniences. All novels are a great size and not so heavy, making them ideal for carrying or reading at home. I especially enjoyed seeing some fine quotes around the box set and on each novel as well, beautifully replacing the often tedious summary of novels. This is ideal for anyone who wants to have a complete collection of Austen's work or simply has the money to invest in a matching set of books (odds and ends can become tedious to look at). Overall great packaging and content, couldn't be happier!

BE AWARE!
Make sure to read the condition. I missed thr condition and read the description and didn't see that it was missing the slipcase it talks abt and shows in the pictures. Not why I bought them, and it's my fault I missed that listed in the condition, but still disappointing. Still a beautiful set tho.

Makes me love Jane Austen even more than ever.
This set is beautifully bound and a pleasure to read. I have never been so excited about buying books as I was when I ordered this set. Not only is it fantastic quality, but the price was even better. The box is high quality, not a cheap cardboard affair, and the book binding is sturdy and attractive. The pages feel like rich and smooth, and the print is the perfect size. The sewn-in bookmark is also very convenient and lends an antique air to the already gorgeous books. The only thing I have the slightest dislike for are the illustrations, which are a little too basic and lack detail to match the superior quality of the rest of the set. This is a must-have for any fan of Jane Austen, and it makes a wonderful gift as well.

Beautiful Novels
Overall, I was very happy with this product. The cover designs are beautiful and I love the thick, smooth pages and the font size. I also enjoy the color illustrations. However, I was deeply disappointed by the shipping. My items were damaged when I recieved them. The magnetic box was falling apart when I opened the package and there was slight damage to the lower book edges. I had to hot glue the case back together. It looked as if someone had dropped the case with the books inside. Despite shipping complications, I love the product and would recommend it to any Austen fan. As a devoted Austen fan, I am thrilled to have this elegant set of her novels.

Beautiful boxed set of books
As a Jane Austen fan, I asked for this set of books as a Christmas gift and I was not disappointed! They are beautiful hard-cover editions of all her novels, including the epistolary Lady Susan, which I was not familiar with. The color illustrations in the books are just lovely and fit in perfectly with the time period the books were written in. Each book also comes with it's own attached ribbon bookmark. I look forward to reading her novels over and over again and having this set will make them even more delightful to read!

Perfect collector's addition
I love jane austen and was looking for a more unique set of her novels when I came across this one. And how perfect it is. The books are illustrated which I enjoy. The box set is a great addition. And best of all the covers are detailed flowers and titles and also raised. No fancy scene with characters on the front, these books are like the real deal such as one would find back in austenian days. Also the text is almost similar to large print.
