Esther Williams Women's 50's Pin Up Swimsuit

Well... this suit is really cute, but not perfect. I'm 5'8" and 139lbs, B cup and big butt. I originally ordered a 10 and it was too small. It was super tight and way too short in the torso. I returned that for a 14. It's a little loose, but comfortable. I read what other women said about the back being sheer, and I agree. I ordered this in Black Cherry and it's not see-thru dry, but thin, and I've not been swimming in it yet.Here's what needs to change for this suit to get 5 stars: 1. Have the fabric around the back too. 2. Give us flat chested women some pads for cleavage, or at least add slots on the inside to add our own.or... DROP THE PRICE!!!This would be a good suit for $25, but to pay $75, I expect better quality. I'm keeping the suit, and it does look good, but I'm still searching for that Hollywood Glam thing

I needed a good swimsuit after having twins. Apparently, this tummy is never going away! Anyway, after reading the reviews, I decided to purchase the swimsuit. I'm typically a size 6-8, depending on the store and so, I decided to be safe and buy a size 10. Well, the size 10 fit but it was snug so while I was ok in it, I also decided comfort is key. So, I got a size 12, just to try it out. Lo and behold, it is gorgeous and more importantly, comfortable. So, back goes the size 10, I'll keep the size 12 and try to forget what size it is. haha. I totally agree with the backside being too sheer, by the way. I'm not really a big swimmer though so I'm not concerned. However, it may be a problem if it gets wet so just get a good cover-up! The color is beautiful...it is a slightly darker red than is shown on this image and the backside is a little lighter due, I assume, to the lack of a liner. I'm very happy with the purchase.

I just had a baby and was excited to find this suit! I am normally a 14 in bathing suits and dresses, so I followed the other reviews and got a 16. I am very big on top and smaller on the bottom, with a "mommy tummy" that I was hoping to hide. I am 5'3" and 160#, 38DD, 12 jeans. (I found it helpful to hear who else this suit fit or did not fit.) I normally hate ties around the neck because my big chest puts too much strain, but so many great reviews promised a good fit. It was not the case. The neck tie is still too tight and I could tell by how it felt that it would give me a migraine after 30 minutes of wear. The chest and torso were frumpy and shapeless while the butt was snug. The gathered fabric just felt too bunchy, and the skirting just drooped like a little loin cloth, not a cute skirt. Maybe a 14 would look better, but the shape is all wrong. I will say the fabric and construction were better than expected. The cherry fabric was super cute! The bra was good. It just isn't the right style for me.

After just having my third child, I needed a swimsuit that would give coverage and still be cute and fun. This swimsuit covers my stomach and even slims it. I was very impressed.I am nursing- and my breasts are much bigger than normal (currently at 36D)- I would say this suit is a little tight in the chest for me, but still flattering. I agree the leg holes are a little snug. I am usually a 10- but bought a 12, it is a little tight but I think it is still a great suit. I am very impressed. I think I will be a repeat buyer when I lose this baby weight and drop to my normal size! Maren gave exceptional customer service, I received my bathing suit only days after ordering. She is wonderful and even emails you to see how you like the suit. I have never had a seller do that before- it is a great touch. I LOVE this suit! I'm actually ordering a new one now, after THREE YEARS with the emerald green one! It's held up so incredibly well and the only reason I'm buying another is because I wore it for the first few months of my recent pregnancy and it stretched some in the back area. I recently wore it to an indoor waterpark with family and flat out ASKED if it was looking a little sheer in the back and it was fine. Again, after years, YEARS, of real, honest to god, chasing my toddler (now 3) around the pool year round (indoor & outdoor), at least 3 beach trips, etc, type of wear and tear. I was certainly not doing the margarita-sipping, poolside bunny lounging that another reviewer suggested this suit was perfect for. After the recent trip to the indoor park, I told my husband I think I ought to get a new suit as this one is starting to feel a little stretched out (honestly, I sort of just want some variety after 3 years of wearing the same suit a LOT). He is not an overtly sexual kind of guy but said, "I really hope you can find the same one you got before because you look amazing in that one, super sexy!" Sold. This is a picture of the new suit, size 12 as my boobs are normally 34F/G & I'm currently 155 lbs less than 2 months postpartum & 5'3". I know from experience this suit still works well at my normal weight of 145, too.

I put this suit on just now and honestly fell in love with it! Everything looks great and then I turned around to look at the back in the mirror and it is totally see thru!! I am still deciding whether I should try to line the back myself or send it back. Leaning towards sending it back as it was $70 and should have the lining already.
