Oakley Men's Silicon O-Cap Baseball Cap

The seams and weight of the material give it a feeling that it is put together well. It has some give around the bottom but it isn't elastic like a New Era batting practice cap. The best part of this hat is the fit. I wear a 8 or 7 3/4 size New Era fitted cap. I haven't had a chance to try out any online hat stores and local shops don't usually have my size. Even worse is that most of the caps I've tried to buy online that fit a certain size range have been really undersized. I don't like the look of adjustable caps either. This cap fits well. Not tight at all. I could wear it for a few hours and not have marks on my forehead. I have very short hair so if you have a lot of hair it may not fit over a size 7 1/2. With short hair I could see someone up to a size 9 (do heads come that big?) fitting it depending on your skull's layout. I have an oval shaped head and my forehead doesn't jut out.I'm hoping this info helps other big headed people out there. Forgive me if I'm not using the proper hat terminology I'm not a cap collector or expert. I checked out lids and it takes up to 60 days for a refund, up to 3 weeks to process returns and they don't refund shipping expenses. Maybe Prime has me spoiled but that doesn't sound very good, so I may just pick up some other colors in this Silicon O-Cap.

First off, i have a large melon. It has caused me nothing but grief when trying to find a hat. I had hopes that the XL version of this hat would work. It didn't. Its a wonderfully constructed hat. It does have that cooling material around the band(that was amazing while i was mowing) and it looks damn fine. The craftsman ship and looks of this hat are nothing short of what I expect from Oakley. But the size, oh the size. I can wear it for a hour or so then I start to get a headache. After I take the hat off I am left with a red ring around my head that my daughters make fun of constantly. I really wanted to love this hat. If you have a normal sized head then its highly recommended, but if you dont...look elsewhere. I cant blame the hat for this, but I dont believe for a second Oakley should be marketing this as an XL, and that is the reason for the four star review.

The Oakley Men's Silicon O cap is generally a very good, well constructed baseball style cap. The grey color does not fade out and the cap retains the shape. The cap lasts a long time in light of extreme sports use, five to seven days a week.However, there have been some of the hats that fit very well and other times, the fit is too small. I have had to return a few because the fit is off in size, always too small. Amazon's great return policy has allowed an return and a exchange for another Oakley Silicon cap.This cap is made in China, which may explain the differences in sizes from one cap to another.I like this cap because of durability and the Oakley logos are less prominent, a bit muted, which I like because it has a cleaner appearance.Jon Green

Great hat and will definitely check out more Oakley hats in the future. My only tiny complaint was the size was just a tiny bit small. Everything else about it is exactly what I ordered. Well built without a huge graphic all over the front. The size shouldn't hold you back. I like the hat a lot. I just hoped it would glide on my big head like that 1 out of 100 hats you rarely ever find. It's a great hat and if you're looking for more of a simple stylish hat. You will not go wrong with this one. I will give it a 4.5 out of 5.

Finally found a good fitting hat that does not fit so high on my head or that to big for my small bald head. Tried fitted hats but never could find one that would fit and look good on my in between sized head without it being to big or to tight. The band inside is perfect and soft without it being to tight. This hat fit right to the top of my head without the peak that is left from some hats. I would recommend to anyone who has a hard time finding a low-profile form fitting hat

This hat is a BIG hat. The material and quality is nice, but the fit is poor. I don't even think ordering a smaller size would make it look any better. At least for my head it doesn't look good. It looks the best from the sides. From the front it portrudes out in points towards the top, and reminded me of when I'd put my hat on my 10 year old nephew: it really just runs pretty big and bulky. Had higher hopes, but I guess that's what you get when you order something online without having ever tried it on. I just gave it to a friend who doesn't care how their hats look on them. If you are going to buy it, I really would error on the side of caution and think about going smaller in size.

I bought this hat for my husband, who needed a baseball cap that really fit his large round "bowling ball" shape head. His size is 7 ⅝ and this hat fit very well. It even comes down to the tops of his ears, which is a fit I have never seen on him. The brim is regular size and curves just a little. Even though it is black, he says it is cool. And I think he looks COOL in it! He would buy this hat again in a different color. Worth the price for the fit.

I bought this hat after owning a similar style Oakley hat previously that has seen one too many sweaty afternoons on my head. The hat is the same size and the head band of the new hat fits my head the same as the old, but there seems to be a lot of excess fabric above the flexible band that secures it to your head. Sort of like it's drawn tighter than it should be by the correctly fitting band. I still wear it, but I don't like it as much as my previous Oakley hat for what it's worth.
