Works great
These work great and are easy to read.

Has clips. For wire racks not hair.
Works great, has clips on back to attach to wire shelving. Suction cups suck because the don't suck due to laws of thermodynamics or something like that. Use clips for freezer, Suction cups to attach things to bald heads. Will leave markes if left too long. Easy to read and the 2 pack is a great deal.

Suction cups are useless.
The thermometer comes with suction cups in a small baggy. When trying to attach suction cups they do not snap into provided holes and fall out of place. When trying to stick cups to the freezer wall, they did not stay in place even without thermometer attached I ended up simply putting the thermometer into the freezer tray. Thermometer works well and shows accurate temperature

A bad product
Most Taylor products are good quality, but these thermometers are pieces of junk! The column breaks time after time. It happened to both. And good luck trying to get the suction cups to stick inside a cold refrigerator. The clips are useful though. I finally threw both away.

Nice layout for a gauge
I use this in a 12v refrigerator to monitor temperature and verify temperature against the thermostat setting. Accurate. I like the design form. I hang this on the basket in a horizontal position. It’s out of the way and easy to read. Perfect for me.

Suction cups don’t stay in place.
Thermometer works okay, but the suction cups keep falling out of the holder.

Cool, man!
Since new, including a replacement, we've been wrestling with our refrigerator's propensity to freeze veggies in the drawers whilst not really doing the cold routine on the rest of the reefer contents. As we like our cold drinks COLD, it's been frustrating to not be able to set our refrigerator to 34°; instead it's at 37° - and it's still possible to freeze the celery and lettuce in their supposedly warmer bins. Enter this device. Before yet another service call, we monitored each location; cold-air-input, each of 3 shelves left, right and center, and each of the two doors' 4 shelves, plus the two top drawers and the left and right divisions of the bottom drawer. Those readings - freezing in the drawers while not-cold-enough everywhere else - resulted in a replacement (under warranty) refrigerator.

Frustrating device. Red "mercury" will not cooperate easily, hard to read, Would not recommend
As others have noted, it arrived with the red "mercury" separated - with half toward top and half toward bottom and the advice given is to "tap" it down. That did not work at all. I looked on Amazon question/reviews and noted others having the same struggle. Someone suggested running under warm water until the red "mercury" was all in one piece, then very slowly run cooler water to get the "mercury" back down. So after putting device in sealed baggie, I tried this, also inserting the device into a mug so the bulb end of the thermometer would have plenty of warm water near it. However, tap warm was not warm enough to get the mercury too move much. So I slowly added a bit of stove-heated water (perhaps 110? or more degrees...almost too hot to leave your finger in)...After a long time this finally got all the red together at the hot end (top). Slowly i ran very warm tap water into the mug, turning the faucet increasingly cooler but very, very slowly. I had hoped this would even more slowly dilute out the warmer water in the mug/cup. But as you can see in the photo up close, the red "mercury" did not move in one piece downward...it began to separate right away into many striations. I can't imagine going more slowly than this. Additionally I tried putting the thermometer in the freezer but with condensation on the outside of it, it's hard to read, most especially because the red "mercury" is the same color as the red background behind it. Someone may be able to get the mercury to come to one column piece and find use for this device, but i was not able to. Unfortunately, I waited too long to put this effort into it, and it's no longer returnable. I would recommend another product, not this one.
