Raymarine Ray55 VHF Fixed Mount Radio

I have bought this item and it turns off without apparent reason. It is not a reliable device, and if you a are a proffessional fisherman this is not the VHF radio you want. I strongly suggest do not buy it. Now, when I decide to return or change it after 2 months, is not possible.

I just received and have not installed yet but I am sure it will be fine. I had to buy this Raymarine 55 radio to replace my current Raymarine 54. Why, the mic cord had gone bad and I could not purchase a replacement. I even invested around 10 hrs of time on the internet looking for a generic cable I could replace myself, to ultimately give up and buy a new radio. The point, if businesses are so concerned with going green, sell spare parts so people don’t have to throw the old stuff in the landfill! The excuse will probably be the 54 is obsolete. Works fine and meets all the current marine requirements, so why is it obsolete?
