Peaceful Artwork and Quotations for 2010
In the THICH NHAT HANH 2010 Calendar, the artwork is lovely and the quotations are inspiring. The rectangles for each day measure 1 1/2 inch by 1 3/4 inch, which is plenty of room to record your appointments or other notes. The solar and lunar eclipses, solstices, equinoxes, and the phases of the moon are noted with the exact hour. For example, the full moon on January 30 will occur at 1:18 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, presumably the peak time of the occurance. It even mentions that Mercury is retrograde from August 20th through September 12th.This calendar notes some major holidays of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Baha'i, and Pagan/Wiccan.... but there are many omissions. For example, Mexican Independance Day is noted (September 16th) but Confucius' Birthday is absent. France's Bastille Day is noted (July 14th), but Chinese and Taoist holidays are not mentioned. The only Tibetan festival noted is Losar (New Year's Day) and the Dalai Lama's birthday. So this is not a comprehensive Buddhist calendar; but it has broad universal appeal. This calendar is classy. It would suit almost any room and provide inspiration all year.

Thich Nhat Nhan Calendar
One of my favorite Buddhist teachers Thick Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese monk who has a monastry in South of France and one in Escondido, CA. His residence mainly is in France even though he comes to the CA monastry as well.He is a Zen Buddhist but you do not have to be into buddhism to appreciate his words as they relate to our life. He is a favorite of mine because of his gentleness, helpfulness and simplicity in the content of his teachings whose results are substantial if they are applied. A user friendly teacher. It is a good calendar to have to inspire one's inner being and also to become familiar with this teacher and see if you like to learn more.He is prolific and has books on all kinds of life challenges. He overcame a lot himself and therefore, he teaches from experience. It is good to have a reminder calendar of what is really important in life.

Great calendar, great service
The calendar is all I hoped it would be. It has inspirational and thoughtful sayings for each month, along with very nice and unique artwork. It stands on its own. The paper its printed on is a good quality and the colors are great. Some calendars I've seen have a kind of faded look even though new--not this one. The calendar arrived quickly and in a box that made sure that the edges would not get bent. Couldn't ask for more!

Great Reminders
The pictures are nice to look at and the sayings are wonderful reminders to focus on things other than the busyness of the day. It's also great to read the saying and think about the quality of my interactions with those I come into contact with even when I may not get it right each time.

Earthly coolness trumps heavenly headiness...
Ok, I admit that the only reason I was inspired to buy this great calendar is because I really liked the way it looked....great colors, simple subjects, clever compositions and cool brush work! ~The sayings are abit ethereal and goofy but who cares when it looks so spiffy on my wall.I also like the way it shows me what month and day it is. It is a very accurate calendar. :)

Great addition to work desk!
I have this calendar up at work and i LOVE the monthly pictures and quotes. My coworkers comment on how "zen" my desk is too. The different holidays are really nice to learn as the month goes on (some European, some Christian, some Jewish, some Pagan/Wiccan). The phases of the moon are also nice to know, especially when it seems like my patients are going crazy!

Beautiful and meaningful.
The calendar has beautiful art and moving quotes on each month. The one for February is "To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don't need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself." These reminders each day to be grounded, true and focused can be a salve to a rough day.

Thich Nhat Hanh Wall Calendar
I thought I could use a different calendar this year and I tried, but I missed the beauty of the Thich Nhat Hanh calendar that I always get and the sayings that keep me present every day. So, I bought it in March, but I don't regret it at all.
