Dead Space 2 (Xbox 360)

This has to be the freakiest game I've ever played hands down. Dead Space 1 was super scary, but the second installment did a great job of capitalizing on the creepiest elements of the original in a very effective way. Here's my bullet point list of strengths:-- Heavy emphasis on the "Unitology" theme-- More enemies over all than DS1-- Addition of new creepy enemies-- Necromorphs are a bit harder to kill-- Very little backtracking in the campaign-- Sound design is spectacular-- Graphics are excellent-- Gameplay is relatively organic-- Good use of puzzlesI only have a couple of gripes with this game:1. You randomly have to learn how to fly through a debris field at one point. I died 15 or 20 times and almost gave up on the game at this point. It wasn't fun or scary, just annoying and pointless.2. The final boss is a pain in the butt to beat. I spent 2 hours on the boss battle before shutting the game down and getting online to read up on how to beat it. l ended up having to backtrack to a previous save station and exploited a game glitch where a power node access storage room will indefinitely give you goodies if you save your game, reload it from that save station, and go back to the storage room. I spent 45 minutes collecting goodies so I could upgrade my weapons and buy enough health and ammo to make it back to the ending and beat the boss.That being said, this is still one of the best games I've ever played and I would highly recommend it to anyone mature enough to handle the horror.

This game has some scares as well as an atmosphere of constant danger which acts as a nice sense of tension throughout. Definitely fun.

this was a Christmas game for my grandson so I do not know if he liked it or not but I would assume he did

bought this as a gift. it's never been out of the box.I guess it's a bumout but if you know more about it than I do, completely disregard all of these words.

One of the most fun games I've ever played. Great game play and amazing graphics. I can't wait until the 3rd one comes out!

Dead Space 2 is a first shooter game set in space. You're up against disfigured creatures that have no other desire then to kill you. Along the way you experience bouts of Dementia, adding a lot of fun and scariness to the game, because during these Isaac see's his dead lover. She speaks to him and leads him to The Marker, the cause of this mayhem and destruction. Along the way he meets other survivors, one of which was a patient like Isaac, unfortunately he's going crazy from remembering the things Isaac has seemed to have forgotten.-There are two disks two the game-Minimal glitches (I only experienced one)-Four levels to beat. One of which can only be unlocked by beating the game on any level.-Creepy creatures, one of which you cannot kill just strategically get away from.-You have the power of telekinesis-Can upgrade weapons and armor or just buy new ones.-Nice graphicsSo, yeah I recommend this game.

a good game for first timer and hardcore gameryou can play over and over and the multplayer is ok

This is one hell of a great game, a good balance of horror, action and "puzzles" for want of a better word. Nothing really comes close in my opinion, I would recommend all three dead space games. Regarding the actual purchase, I was a little sceptical at first, seeing this was so cheap, but its brand new in the original cellophane packaging. I would absolutely recommend this seller and their products!

llego antes del tiempo marcado y sin ningún fallo lo volvería a comprar sin dudarlo. lo unico que no puedo poner el juego en español, pero los subtitulos si que lo esta.

Jeu énorme, j'ai adoré le premier, Dead Space 2 est pour moi encore mieux ! C'est un must have pour tout fan de FPS ou survival horror.

Eines vorweg : dieses Spiel ist nichts für schwache Nerven!Nachdem ich bereits den ersten Teil von Dead Space gespielt hatte, dachte ich, nichts könnte mich überaschen oder gar erschrecken. Aber weit gefehlt. Dead Space 2 weiß von der ersten Minute an zu fesseln. Dabei gibt es dieses Mal sogar Passagen die von rein subtilem Horror leben! Da stapft man teilweise minutenlang durch dunkle und verwinkelte Gänge und hört flüsternde Stimmen und ist dann fast erleichtert, wenn die Necromorphs endlich tatsächlich zuschlagen! Soundkulisse und Grafikpracht ergeben zusammen ein Horror-Erlebnis, das man so schnell nicht vergisst.Den Multiplayer-Modus konnte ich bisher noch nicht testen. Doch der ist für mich auch nicht wirklich interessant, da ich nur der Story um Isaac Clarke weiter folgen wollte.Generell empfehle ich jedem Spieler, zuerst den ersten Teil zu zocken, nicht nur um die Hintergrundgeschichte besser zu verstehen, sondern weil es sich bei Dead Space um eine überragende Horror-Serie handelt. Allerdings gibt es in Dead Space 2 auch einen kurzen Film im Optionsmenü, der die Ereignisse auf der USG Ishimura (Handlungsort des ersten Teils) kurz zusammenfasst. Dabei werden noch ein paar Hintergrundinformationen eingestreut, die auch für Spieler des ersten Teils interessant sein dürften.Alles in allem ein hervorragendes Game, das in keiner Sammlung fehlen darf. Unbedingt kaufen!
