Lightweight, super directional, very sensible, not hifi but does the job. Not for singers; speakers maybe.
Light weight, super directional very sensible. I like it, not super hifi but nice for the money. It's been a week since I received this mic. Now testing it I found that when you sing or speak loud close to it, it distorsionates, saturates the audio. It has no good response for the low frequencies or loud sounds. It is not for speakers or singers, maybe for instruments like a guitar, sax, congas, etc. No HQ sound.

Great!
This mic is great much better than what I expected. This is a condenser mic which needs phantom power from an external source. I.E. Mixer/Interface. Or you can use one AA battery to power the mic. The mic is clean, clear and is great as a drum overhead. I used this mic for a church service initially just to test it out. I was amazed how well it picked up the drum kit as an overhead I went and bought a second one and I plan to get a least two more. And the recording came out great as well. Highly recommend this product. Buy with confidence.

Not the best mic for the price
We decided to try out several mics in the price range ($20-30), and see for ourselves which performed the best. While this Pyle performed ok, we found a Neewer for $5 more with very noticeably better sound quality: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008CCQI72/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B008CCQI72&linkCode=as2&tag=todmedblo-20No doubt you're on a budget looking at these mics instead of $600 Rhodes, but, if you also care about sound quality, the extra $5 is absolutely worth it.Hope this helps!

Fragile
Sounds great and versatile, but very lightweight construction. Pulled one apart just trying to unhook the cable. Guess that is the cost of low cost.

Good Microphone, Great Price!
Bought this microphone for my hi-hat to supplement my Pyle Pro drum mic kit. It seems to be working just fine to me, so far I haven't have any of the aforementioned problems with the "guts" coming out when I unplug the XLR cable. I don't plan on moving it from my studio setup, so I don't anticipate any problems.

Not Worth the Time or Money
Worked for about 2 hours.I bought 2, and both died.Would return but I know I'll have another batch that dies.Honestly I have pyle mic's that are decent, like their 57 remake, but this is just trash. Save up for a pencil mic instead of getting these.

Great mic for the price!
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who desires a quality sounding mic with plenty of punch and clarity. Of course you should always handle an electrit condenser gently. But I'm truly satisfied with this mic. I plan on ordering other Pyle products at this point. Keep up the good work.

Good idea, but not for phantom power and two out of four working was our reality., NOW 2 lasted more than a few days out of 5!
Two tragic flaws, we bought four of them so this is an honest sampling. 1. they are broken and due to a design flaw (or an assembly line in China that is not gluing the end with enough glue) in that the XLR connector can simply... pull out when removing the connector, ripping the device apart - two of our four did this, and we are experienced with professional microphones. 2. None of these mics could be used with true phantom supply (as from a mixing board or a camera) without a 60 or 120 Hz hum, pretty much a hum that makes serious recording impossible.Used with an AA battery, and with lots of luck when plugging in and out the cord, the mic could be useful, but this Pyle PDMIC45 model really shouldn't have been put on the market so poorly designed - phantom circuit-wise - and so badly manufactured allowing the connector parts to be inadequately glued together.

Excellent Microphone. Professional quality!!
Was a bit unsure about the Microphone at first since there weren't any videos or sound tests online. But I thought I'd give it a try. Sounded perfect. Full studio/professional quality guaranteed. I use it as a boom mic for videos. If you're looking to film indoor dialogue then this Mic is perfect. It's not a shotgun mic, so it won't pick up any echo or reverb when you film indoors. I would highly recommend that it be used with a Zoom H1 or Zoom H4N for full HD quality. You can use an adapter if the mic records in Mono to make it stereo or you can do it using software. The mic comes with a wind protector, mic holder, and a really long XLR to Phono cable. Brilliant microphone.
