About to embark on an extended trip with my new NEX 6, and advised by my professional photographer friend to get extra batteries. Thinking I would like to charge two at once (already have the Sony battery and wall charger), I obtained this kit, which comes with the wall wart charger and the adapter for use in a car.My initial impression is that this kit provides everything I need. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the specs printed on the new battery (made in China) state it is 7.4V, 2300 mAh, 17.0 Wh Li-ion. The Sony provided battery (made in Japan) states that it is 7.2V, 1080 mAh, 7.7Wh Li-ion. This would seem to indicate that the new battery provides almost twice the duration than the OEM battery, in the same size package.I am a skeptical of this claim, although the new battery fits and works perfectly. I will, without doubt, be able to achieve real-world use statistics during my forthcoming trip, and I will try to remember to post my experience.Regarding the order fulfillment, it was my usual Amazon experience, which is first-rate.

The battery and charger were as described and work perfectly with my A6000. The charger has no trouble charging the BM battery as well as my original Sony battery.The BM battery seems to provide at least as many shots as the Sony original.It is much too early to know about the longevity of the battery, but it fits properly and works well. It seems to be a good product at a fair price.

I've owned this for over 4 years, use it regularly with no issues. Batteries always charge fully with no overheating issues. I've charged both a Sony branded battery for my camera (Sony NEX 6), as well as a 3rd party battery. This charger has always worked solidly and reliably.

My used camera didn't come with a charger, so I bought this set. Inexpensive, no regrets.

I like it especially since I needed it in a pinch and it came right on time. Only thing I have a problem with is that after one or two uses the batteries I have no longer fit snug in the charging unit. This makes it difficult to charge in the wall. It works great for in the car when heading to a shoot, just not for wall plug in. Overall I'm satisfied considering the price.

I bought this battery a little over 2 months ago. I have been using it with my Sony A6000 as a backup battery, and had no problems until a few days ago. I popped it into my camera after charging it all night, and I get no response when turning the camera on. It is as if there is no battery. My original Sony battery still works great, so I am very disappointed that this product did not last.

Coming from years of shooting Canon dslr's, one of the most notable differences is the battery life in the Nex6. After maybe a 5 hour shoot with a 7d I may need to change a battery (shoots consist of photo and video series) or not but the battery in the Nex 6 will give you about 2 to 2.5 hours. If you are planning a long day with the camera, a spare and charger is very much needed. And in this package you really don't need a 3rd battery as one can be in the camera shooting the other can be in the wall outlet charging, or in your car charging. The car charger is a welcome addition. Some may worry about it not made in Japan and I'd say this is where low priced chinese products are useful. Even if you don't get the duration in lifespan, it will work and do the job. If after a year or two it fails, buy a new battery.

The charger is well made and practical. However the batteries don't work properly with my Sony NEX 6 when equipped with a Canon EX lens using an adapter. On the first shot after awakening from standby, the camera gives an error and must be turned OFF and then ON again. The batteries work OK with the standard Sony E-mount lens.
