Trains - Thomas & Friends Thomas with Annie and Clarabel Ready To Run Electric Train Set - HO Scale

My 11-year-old son recently got into model trains. That's all he asked for this year for Christmas. I got this set as a base and we added tracks and other Bachmann cars. First off, this set is quick. I expected it to be a little slower because it's made for kids, but I don't think it is. Second, it's still new but the cars glide over the track (both included and purchased separately) smoothly. Every once in awhile, you might need to readjust the car back on the track. Third, it's just plain fun. But you definitely want to consider adding a couple of track pieces. Right out of the box, it only goes in a small circle. We added a couple of straight pieces and some curves when we moved it down to the basement and it's a much bigger track. We've had so much fun with this model train set. This is a great starter set for a younger child looking to get into model railroading. It's more affordable than purchasing tracks, controller, and cars individually, it's easy to use, and it's Thomas. Who doesn't love Thomas?

My grandson loved playing with it but he doesn’t like that. It just goes around in a circle. Not sure if I’m gonna return it or not but so far so good

I bought this for my nephews in 2018 for $90 and again for another nephew in 2024 for $120. They love it but not worth that price increase!!

I am very satisfied with this seller! Package arrived very quickly. We originally purchased this train in 2002 and was surprised it lasted 8 years. It has been underneath the Christmas tree every year since. Unfortunately, electronics do not last forever when stored. I am pleased to find the exact train for such a great price. My 3 kids enjoy building bridges and houses out of legos, blocks, and presents while patiently awaiting the big day. I would recommend an adult put the train carefully together as the pieces are a bit fragile. But once it's assembled, kids will love running it and letting their imagination grow!

i bought this for my son thinking it would plug into my larger layout and it did so now my son and i can enjoy ho scale modeling together. we now have hours of fun each weekend he comes over and we loved the easy setup and durability. the only con is that it is a little small for a right out of the box but they make up for that in quality. great product.

I usually write reviews 3-6 months after purchase to ensure they operate as they should. Unfortunately, Thomas train motor burnt out within 2 months of purchase. This is with infrequent use with less than 3 hours of use. I have reached out to Bachmann and will wait for their response and update the review. When the product was working - I would have given it 5 stars.

First off everyone needs to be aware that this is an HO train set and it is not a toy for small children. HO railway stuff is more "model" than toy. It is not large. If young children are involved an adult needs to be closely supervising as these are delicate models. I deducted one star as the rerailer on a curved section of track doesn't play all that well with Thomas, especially when reversing. It tends to bind up Thomas' drivers going forward too. I will be buying some straight track with a rerailer to solve that. Other than that the train performs well. Detail is good. The box it came in clearly was designed by the marketing department to try and justify the price...it is ridiculously large for what it contains.

Mi hijo lo cuida muchísimo tiene una semana con el, y simplemente el tren está muy gastado, estoy muy inconforme y mi hijo triste del mal estado del tren, y no es un juguete económico, no nos esperábamos eso.
