Xbox 360 Street Fighter IV FightPad - Blanka

I have read some bad reviews on this controller, the only ones that had me worried were the ones saying the controller was DOA or died shortly after. All of the other reviews seemed like people hating on what makes this controller great.I have always had a stigma towards Mad Catz; back in the early days I had bought one of their controllers, was either N64 or Dreamcast, but it was awful, cheap and uncomfortable. I just got back into console gaming this last September and have a ton of catching up to do, tried playing a fighting game on Xbox controller, that was the worst. So I went to the Internets to price fightsticks... Little out of my price range for a game I'm not sure I'll be hardcore about, in looking I came across these "Fightpads" and saw that they were made by Mad Catz, I completely skipped by them till I realized that all the best fightsticks were also mad by Mad Catz and figured what the hell...This controller is the perfect melding of an old Sega Saturn controller (Widely considered the best fighting controller) and an Arcade stick with a dash of Xbox controller for shape. The buttons take on the Arcade stick feel, the are bigger and clickier which feels more like arcade buttons to me, I love it. The D-Pad seems to get the most criticism, I'm not sure why this is the single BEST D-pad I have ever used for fighting games, it feels like a D-pad on the end of a Joystick and on top of that I don't get blisters like I did from ALL of the other D-pads. I cant say anything about the Turbo feature as I don't use it at all. The only complaint I have about this controller is cord length, it is just a little too short for me, but I believe it is a solid 9ft so I guess that's on me.If you are a fight game enthusiast on a budget, this controller is a MUST. Mad Catz has some a long way in the past 10-15 years, they are finally doing it right and I'm glad I gave them a second chance.

The SFIV Fight pad from Mad Catz is complete and utter garbage. The buttons are practically useless after maybe a week or so. The one I bought came broken with the A button unusable. I play SFIV at tournaments and needed a controller in a week (my other one I left out of state) so I hoped on Amazon and bought this controller. It came broken, thankfully a friend of mine had a spare arcade stick I could use. All in all I do not recommend this product to anyone. If you are serious about SF then get an Official Arcade Stick.Mad Catz can go F*** themselves.

I too feel bamboozled. I pre-ordered this controller on Feb 9th. expected to receive it on the 24th then told it was going to be delayed a week. Now i just got confirmation that i should expect this controller on April 2nd!! thats like a month and a week!!What i want to know is has anyone received their controller from amazon yet!?? cuz i feel they shipped out some controllers just not mine.

works but for some reason the A button got a slight sticking... it slows down the quick quick button mashing capability... not sure why this happened, it didn't happen to the Ryu version, perhaps because blanka's move list is subpar and lacking? lol

This controller is good. Feels light and a bit chincy when u 1st pik it up. had it a few months all the buttons still funtion. theres really not much of a choice when it comes to fight pads i find. only arcadesticks.I once had a six button sega genesis controller when SS2 first released...similiar but smaller than a sega saturn controller. Ideally, the six botton genesis contoller for my 360 would be great. At the moment this controller is the next best thing...

So far this is working perfectly, bought for about $16 free shipping so can't complain too much if it stops working anytime soon. I prefer this over the regular wireless controller, plus you're not wearing out your regular controllers. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one if this one fails. The only con for this product would be the turbo button feature is pretty much useless in my opinion, and the controller is fairly lightweight, which may not be so bad. This controller reminds me of playing SF2 on Genesis. I would highly recommend this product if your looking at a different controller to use instead of the standard 360 controller.

I recently purchased Super Street Fighter IV but needed a fightpad so i looked on amazon and the blanka ones were prices really nice, when it arrived one of the buttons stuck so the controller was useless, called amazon's freindly customer service and they sent me a replacement right way but when the replacement arrived the d-pad was messed up, now i have to sent this one back as well.Please if your looking for something to play ssf4 with please don't get a fightpad they are cheaply made.
