Size 2 Works Great For A Grumpy Australian Cattle Dog!
I bought this Guardian Gear Nylon Dog Muzzle, Size 2.This Size 2 Muzzle fits our Australian Cattle Dog female very well. She is a nasty little biter when she goes to the vet or gets her nails trimmed. We have to use a muzzle on her for all her vet visits. This muzzle lasted for around 3 years before the plastic buckle broke.I came back to buy a new one, and this time I bought a spare one too. This is a very good soft-style Muzzle.Easy to put on and strong enough to keep our dog from biting anyone. We are very happy with this Muzzle.

A++ A total life (house) saver!!!
This muzzle has been a life (house) saver!! It is easy to put on, does not hurt our dog, and he can still eat treats and stick his tongue out enough to lick water if he needs it. My dog has extreme kennel anxiety so I cannot put him in a kennel while we are gone without him injuring himself trying to get out. He is almost 2 years old now and was great roaming the house for about 5 months until we went on vacation - ever since we came back he has been punishing us when we leave by shredding books, remotes, pens/pencils, kids' toys, couch pillows - whatever he's in the mood for that day. We cannot allow this to continue, but cannot kennel him either - leaving us with few options. I decided to give this a try - starting with just putting it on for a couple minutes and giving treats/rewarding him. Then we did it for short trips and still let him go without it when gone for longer periods (since we didn't know what he would do) but he was still shredding things. Since it has gone well with the muzzle, we have worked our way up to putting it on him every time we leave the house. He doesn't love it, but he doesn't really complain either - we put it on him & give treats - when we come home we make him sit, take it off and give him more treats. I can see where he has tried to scratch it off, but it hasn't really harmed the muzzle at all - just some scratch marks. When you see it you will think "How can this possible do anything?" But it really works well. And we have a 45# dog that can be very destructive. We got the size 3 and it's perfect for our dog that is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Beagle mix - medium size. Thank you so much PetEdge for making such a great product! We love our doggie, now we can rest easy when we leave knowing he won't destroy the house or hurt himself by eating something harmful! <3

Update: Junk, clasp broke after 4 uses.
My dog responded surprisingly well to this muzzle. He hasn't tried too hard to get it off and can take small treats while it's on so I can try to create positive associations with it. Two important things: 1) I don't think I could use this in the summer. He can stick his tongue out but I don't think he could pant with it on, so if it's warm at all or he's exercising I'd probably go with a basket muzzle (which he hates, of course). 2) It runs very small. He's a 25 pound dog, probably some kind of schnauzer/beagle/poodle/whatever mix. I bought a size 1 at first and it looked like it was for a chihuahua! The size 2 fits but snugly - perhaps more snugly than I would've liked if I wanted him to be able to pant a little. So if in doubt, you may want to order up. On the other hand, the price is right and if he can tolerate having it on, it may give me some peace of mind and save me some bite marks when he tries to go after another dog (this is his main problem). In short, not a replacement for a basket or good in warm weather, but fine for other purposes.

Perfect for our nippy puppy
We had to guess at the size when ordering, because it is a little confusing. We bought this for our 3 month old lab-mix puppy. I just read other reviews and thought "Well, if size 1 fits such and such a dog, my dog is about that size right now". It fits like a dream, and still has room to adjust as he grows a bit more. (We hope he grows out of the biting before he grows out of the muzzle.) He can not get the muzzle off. We even used the same muzzle on my sister's year-old Jack Russell terrier during a puppy play-date, and despite his extreme measures, he was not able to budge the muzzle. Our dog can still stick out his tongue and grab some sips of water or a tiny bite of kibble, but his biting is completely halted. The first few times we had to use this, our puppy threw a fit and tried to remove the muzzle. Now when we bring it out, he instantly pouts and goes to take a nap. This is working very well for us in training our puppy that it's not OK to bite our daughter on the legs.

Missing Secondary Slide Buckle
This arrived very quickly so no issues with that. It was missing a secondary slide buckle that keeps the loose end tight, without it the muzzle slips out of size with no effort. A sleeping dog could have slipped from it. I needed it right away and I had a similar sized collar I was able to scavange the missing piece from so the muzzle is working. I got a size 3 for a Cattle dog mix about 35 lbs. It's a little long for her shout , not tight at all but fits otherwise ok enoough. She did try to get it off for awhile but was calm enough with it to stop. She had an M&M sized treat after first getting it put on to help make it a positive experience and was able to eat it so there is a little room for her mouth to move. It is not very strong, " lined " turned out to be 2 thin pieces of nylon material back to back. There are far better quality muzzles on the market. For our needs it doesn't need to be on for long periods of time just 20 minutes or so occasionally to keep her quieter when a delivery person is expected. If you need something sturdy this would not be the one to get. Just a reminder all muzzles should be used with supervision and only short amounts of time.

Good quality, found sizing is off
Nice muzzle but listed sizing is off- my mini labradoodle has a snout size that matches the size 2 sizing but he needs the 4. The size 2 fits my parents puppy border collie quite well. No way the size 2 fits a standard poodle.
