Red Rock Outdoor Gear Rapid Hydration Pack, Olive Drab

I do water utility work and constantly need hydrant in the heat; nalgene bottles are great, but not big enough and they get in the way on the work site. I searched for about 30 minutes for this camelbak; I purchased it because all I needed was a simple water bag. All the others I saw had pockets and harness attachments for outdoor activities, which is great for hiking, cyclecross, climbing ect; however I need something that fits snugly and has a small form factor so not to snag on objects in holes or confined spaces I work in. This is perfect for that, my only wish is for a 3-4 liter capacity bag.

I have a few other hydration packs that have served me well for specific events. "Fanny Pack" style for running, insulated for winter cold, this and that. What I needed was a big neutral colored one with no extra bells and whistles. This has been great. Out all day hiking and plenty of water for the duration. I will use it turkey hunting. The Coyote color is fine. I just wish the bite valve came off the tube so it drys out more easily. Otherwise, it's simple, comfortable and works fine.

This is very functional. l need to carry water for my dogs on my hikes and this does the job. I pour this into a collapsable bowl. It is very simple and not too fancy. It is easy to carry. For the price, it is very good.

I wanted something to carry water while I ride my bike to and from work. This pack is just perfect, not too large but yet not too small either. Seems to be very well made, very good quality materials. I like the fact that is has a sternum strap so that pack straps stay in place. Easy to use bite valve. And it does have a pouch to carry small things like a wallet or keys. Very good value for the price.

Red Rock's gear is very good quality; I only gave 2 stars because the only replacement bladder they carry does not fit this pack (see my review for their bladder.) Their customer service says they don't carry a replacement bladder for the Rapid Pack and they have no plans to carry one in the future. If the bladder gets a hole or tear in it, you're out of luck...OR...you can then use the pack 'papoose style' for babies with small heads.

Holds water, no leaks.I had to buy a hydration tube sleeve(cover) for it, no big deal. For the price, I'm happy with it.

It's a hydration pack. Wash it, let dry, fill it with water, stay hydrated...pretty simple.Plus, it's drab green, so that makes it even cooler.

Works great, I've brought it along on various excursions and it hasn't let me down. Strong material and straps. Wouldn't recommend putting any juice, pop, (liquor) as most camelpaks are prone to clog with certain substances.

This is a good price to figure out whether you like the feeling of a hydration pack while working out. It needed to be washed a few times but it worked fine and held water without leaking. Time will tell over the next riding season just how durable it is. Will update this review if I have any problems.

The bag is solid quality, my only complaint is where the tube connects to the bag can become lose and you'll have a leak.

Exactly what I needed. Small and compact but holds a lot of water. As this is small, you will not be able to fit much else in here though!!
