Angel Dear - Elephant, Swaddle Blanket

This is our third child and we turned to the swaddler more than ever, so I wanted to have more on hand and branch out brand wise from all our past ones same manufacturer. When I found this lovely style I was excited and I am now taking time to submit this because I am so impressed with the quality and design of it as well! The favorite thing that sets this swaddled apart for me is that now that my daughter is 3 months and stronger, this swaddled is the only one I have that she can't wiggle free from right away which allows her the chance to relax and settle down immediately instead of many frustrating rewraps. The material is a tad more course compared to some, but that's what gives it it's delightful traction for the growing newborn whose squirming a lot more, and yet it is still plenty soft and malleable that she loves it and so do we! I highly recommend this in number 1 functionality over others. My one constructive criticism is that I prefer more abstract, subtle patterns and so I wish there was more of a selection that weren't so typically kid themed. I could really see this brand expanding brilliantly with just the addition of some more sophisticated "mom" tailored patterns to attract a wider array customer base. However, the product is solid, an improvement to all our others as our daughter keeps growing, just a wonderful find for us and I do adore this pattern I got! After three, I'm one impressed mommy, hope to see more patterns soon.

My son was born a late-term preemie. Swaddling- TIGHT swaddling- was a must! We used a Woombie Houdini (which we LOVED and recommend to everyone), but admittedly, there were times when even that didn't work alone. On nights when my son was really struggling to calm himself, I'd create a tight swaddle with an Aden and Anais swaddle in addition to the Woombie. Then I discovered Angel Dear and saw that it was 2 inches larger than the A+A swaddle and figured that might gain me a little extra life as my son grew. It seemed almost silly to buy something so large for a five pound baby, but I found the more material, the better. I was able to swaddle tighter with less concern for the baby becoming unswaddled (and suffocating on his blanket) with the extra inches of muslin. My son slept swaddled for five months, and I continued to double swaddle with the Woombie and Angel Dear on the nights he struggled to fall asleep. But now that he no longer uses them for sleep, their benefit increases. We use these for EVERYTHING. They shield him from the sun when we are on long walks, they provide a light weight cover on breezy days- yet can be folded in layers to accommodate even colder temperatures. They are large enough to spread out on the grass in the park, and also mop up spit up like a champ! I think they are superior to the popular A+A swaddle and every new parent should own a couple.

I have a+a blankets and love them, and while searching to purchase more muslin blankets I came across this blanket. I loved the design and it was the sane size as a+a boutique blankets so I decided to try it. It came packed cute. It is just as soft as a+a, and I honestly think it is a tad bit thicker. I really thought I was going to like this blanket (the giraffes are ADORABLE.) I threw it in the washer and then dryer just as I do my a+a blankets and it came out full of pills. This was the very first wash. I was so disappointed! When comparing prices, these really aren't any better than a+a prices and in my opinion, a+a is much better quality. I'll stick with a+a unless these would happen to really drop in price.

Absolutely love this blanket!! First of all it's so much bigger than the ones I have found in the store. This one is 47x47 which is perfect for swaddling my babies or using a nursing cover up. The fabric is super breathable so my baby doesn't get all sweaty either. Plus if you live in an especially hot area, if you get the blanket wet it'll stay damp and cool but not get heavy. The fabric may seem a little stiff at first but at the advice of my friend, after a few washes it feels amazing. A few months later, it is still my babies favorite blanket.

I would give this 5 stars except the fabric has pilling after washing only 3 times. Otherwise, it is great. I love the design. It is the perfect weight for spring/summer in the south. And it is MUCH larger than any receiving blanket or swaddling blanket I've owned. Perfect for anything- I use it to swaddle, as a nursing cover, to block the sunlight in the car seat/stroller, etc. I should've bought two!

I purchased this blanket because of the great reviews and reasonable price. But, the owl blanket I purchased is a gift for a friend and no matter how great the blanket may be, I am not impressed with the pattern. Some of the owls who are hiding their eyes just aren't right - wings are out of place, some wings are missing ... Something isn't right with the print. I'm disappointed with what I thought would be a really cute blanket. It's just ok.

My daughter (almost 2) absolutely loves this blanket. I bought this so she would have a second swaddle blanket since she slept with her Aden and Anais swaddle every night and it was starting to get worn. Every since I pulled this Angel Dear swaddle out of the box she wants nothing to do with her old one.I like this swaddle because it's a little bit bigger and seems more robust. The pattern is super cute, too.I'll probably end up buying another of these swaddled so she two since it's her blankie.

This blanket wasn't quite as soft as previously purchased Angel Dear Bamboo Swaddle blankets but it was still a good value and an adorable product.
