Love these!
I bought these to use for wade fishing. I wanted something that came up a bit higher than standard water shoes. These are awesome! I am so happy I bought them. They were super easy to get on - good zipper, with a nice, extended opening, so you can get your foot in and out with ease! Then they zip up super quick and they have a Velcro tab that will prevent the zipper from coming unzipped until you are ready to remove them. They fit great! The recommended sizing was perfect. I am female, and they recommended one size down from your normal size, which was just right for me. Note - they are not waterproof, as far as hugging your ankle or anything if worn alone (no wetsuit), as I am doing. But, for my purpose, I do not care. I wanted to keep sand and such out of my shoes, and these do that well. With regular water shoes, I always had sand in my shoes. With these, I do not, and my feet/ankles are protected. They are comfortable and easy to walk in, both in and out of the water. I am very pleased with these, and they are now my standard footwear for wade fishing.

The Best! Not only for Scuba!
I got these because in the Summer I am interested in obtaining my scuba diving license, and I thought why not just buy these a little ahead of schedule. When these came in the mail I was not sure what to think of them since I have never bought wetsuit shoes before. So I decided to take them on a test run when I went camping on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Our campsite was located on this lagoon and myself and a couple of friends went out in the water at night to catch some shrimp. ...... I cannot believe how much I loved these shoes. They kept my feet warm, they protected my feet from stepping on shells, they gave me a great sense of security while walking through the water. Mind you, it was at night so we couldn't see anything. Meanwhile, my friends are walking at half the pace I am, jumping and screaming trying to avoid stepping on shells or creatures of the dark. These are such a great pair of shoes, honestly if you don't even scuba dive, you should have these just as a good pair of water shoes. The price is very well set, I would honestly pay probably $60 for these and Amazon has them around $35.

Protective, Good Quality, Easy to Work With, Guarantee Warmth
I bought these for my husband based on favorable product reviews on Amazon and the kayaking sites. They are true to size, protect his feet from small stones and debris, and keep his feet warm in cold water. I would not recommend hiking any distance in them----they are not advertised for long walks, just for getting stuff from your car and into the water, short walks on beaches, not for terrain that calls for hiking boots. They are true to size. My husband wears approximately a size 11 shoe and the size 11 NeoSport Hi Top Zipper Boot works for him. They are easy to put on and take off and the quality feels good.

Velcro to keep zipper up = essential!
I wear a women's 6 and decided to get a size 5 (yes, these are men's sizes). I debated getting a 4 since I read that the conversion between Mens and women's shoe sizes is 1.5 so womens 6 = Mens 4.5. I also read many mixed reviews, some saying these run small and others saying they run big. I'm so glad I decided to order a size up (definitely recommend ordering a size up as you can fill the extra space with neoprene socks or something, but you can't add space). These definitely run a bit small, considering I should be a 4.5, a 5 should be roomy on me. These fit perfectly, too perfectly. My toes touch the end/front of the water shoe, so it is snug but not uncomfortable. I would prefer they be a little looser, but it wasn't that big of a deal for me to deal with the hassle of exchanging them. I have thicker calves, so these felt like they were almost cutting off my circulation when wearing them out of the water. They loosen a bit and become more comfortable when wet. They can and do fill with water sometimes and it is quite hard to empty the water. The neoprene becomes like leather (tight and wants to stick to the skin/your body) so you don't want to pull the whole shoe off because it will be difficult to put them back on. I just unzipped the shoe and lifted my leg as high as I could to let the water spill out (but many people may not be able to do that). The soles are a bit thinner than I hoped, but I walked across rocks (large boulders, river rocks, pebbles, etc) without a problem. You feel the rocks and such, but unless it's sharp, it doesn't hurt. They provide a good amount of protection and I hope they hold up well when I use them in Hawaii next week. These look so much better than your typical water shoes, plus they can be used with fins (which I have a hard time fitting comfortably and usually get blisters from, so these will definitely help me with that). The Velcro to keep the zipper up/from falling down as you swim is essential! My brother has a much nicer pair of water shoes (for cold water scuba diving) and his don't have anything to keep the zipper from falling down, so he recommended that I make sure there was a feature to keep this from happening. Many people may not think much of it, but it is one perk you will come to truly appreciate! It's great that it comes with such an affordable pair of water shoes.

Used with fishing waders to clean goldfish pond
I'm very happy with these, which I got to wear with waders when I'm cleaning my fish pond. I have very narrow (AAA) feet, and usually wear a woman's 8.5. The waders that I wear these with have built in neoprene booties that are normally intended to go under fishing boots. But fishing boots are a bad choice for cleaning a goldfish pond. The wader booties have no tread, and would be extremely hazardous if I wore them alone. I just wanted something waterproof, with enough tread to help me keep from slipping. These fit the bill. I reallly struggled with which size to choose since my feet are extremely narrow but the wader booties are thick and very loose on my foot. After reading many reviews I went with the 8 (which is a women's 9). When I first tried them on over the booties, I thought I might need to exchange them for a larger size because tthey were hard to zip up and they made the bootie neoprene pull against my toes. But I figured that for the hour or so I spend cleaning my fish pond I could tolerate slightly uncomfortable footwear. I was happily surprised, therefore, when I got in the water and both sets of neoprene footwear expanded and relaxed. My feet were completely comfortable. A larger size would have been too large. As another reviewer pointed out, nothing will save you from smooth, algae-covered surfaces, so I avoided stepping on those rocks. But for large rocks that were algae free, and the smaller river rock pebbles on the bottom of the pond, the tread held me safe and secure. Because these were completely submerged while I was working I did get some water intrusion, but it didn't matter because of the neoprene booties beneath. To clean these you just rinse them out with water and hang tthem up to dry.

Great water boots for fishing in water or kayak.
They work great for me. I use them for kayak fishing and surf fishing. My old pair had for about 3 years still good. I ordered 1st pair said get same size you wear a shoe but was cramping my toes. So this new pair I went from a 10 to 11 and way better just enough wiggle room for toes and comfortable. One thing I really like when surf fishing all the sand piles in pocket inside zipper instead of inside boot so when you take off at your truck feet are clean.

Best water shoes!!!
Great water shoes. They run a little big for me but better that than too small. I use them for kayak fishing and lots of oyster bars in the area. Excellent for that for the shells will tear your feet up. The high top prevents dirt and rocks from getting in. The zipper and velcro zipper cover are a great idea. Huge suggestion, if you get water in them, which you probably will, empty the water out. The black really attracts the sun and they get hot and the water will heat up. Not fun. These were suggested by long time kayak anglers. The soles are extremely rugged and show no signs of wear. Will order another and give mine to son.

Fantastic for walking on rocky beaches
These boots are everything I was looking for and more. I go sea glass hunting on beaches all over the world, which means walking on all kinds of beaches. In addition to getting wet, some of the water I walk through is quite cold. These boots keep the water completely out unless I go deep enough for the water to over over the top. Once in, the water keeps my feet warm. They are comfortable enough to walk miles on dry beaches, as well as protect my ankles from being pelted by rocks in the waves. They have amazing grip and saved me while scaling down a cliff to get to a beach. They didn't slip once on the dry rock face. They are also very easy to get on and off. I will never use anything else!

Quality very good. Better than expected. Rigth size. My feet feels comfortable. It serves for rocky soil.

Perfect fit to size
Although I haven't had the chance to use these in the cold water yet, they fit perfectly and I am very happy with them. I suspect they should work as well as my wetsuit which works perfectly.
