Pioneer 12 Inch by 12 Inch Postbound Silk Fabric Frame Front Memory Book, Copper

I HAD BEEN GIVEN 12 X 12 SCRAPBOOK PAGES, AND THEN REALIZED THE BOOK I ALREADY HAD WAS 8 X 12. SO, THIS IS NOW PERFECT AND I CAN GET MY SCRAPBOOKING BACK ON TRACK.

The album arrived perfectly packaged and included a clear plastic cover/protector, which is great for helping to prevent staining or damage when storing. The color of the textured silk cover is beautiful and the front photo window is easy to swap out (I even keep a few different photos behind the front one, to change if I'd like) which adds some extra flare. The pages are a great size and you can easily fit several 4x6 photos on just one of them. The overall durability and quality of the book itself is superb as well, not flimsy or something that can easily fall apart. However, I had one issue with quality. One of the screws which hold the spine together (there are two) was faulty. The instructions say to use a coin or screwdriver to easily unscrew them to load in the pages, but you can unscrew them with just your hands. The first unscrewed very quickly, but the second would only unscrew halfway and was stuck. I STRUGGLED for quite a while to finally get it off, and when I tried to screw it back on, it would only screw in halfway and thus the front and back covers were not flush against one another. Luckily, I bought more pages to add to the book, so the spine was quite thick anyway and I didn't need the screws to be very tight in the first place. However, it was extremely frustrating getting it on and back off and it should not have been at all. Also, taking it all apart and putting the pages in and then screwing the covers, supporting spacers, pages, and everything back together was kind of time consuming, since you have to line everything up perfectly and feed the pages one by one onto one half of the screw before screwing it closed. Other than that, the scrapbook really came out quite nice and I was very happy with it. Looking at it, you'd never know I'd had a problem so I only took off one star for behind the scenes mayhem.

I really wanted to highlight many of the places he has been so far, along with the seasons he has experienced. Being the north, the seasonal changes are really spectacular, and tend to be pretty prominent throughout the region. I have not completely determined how I will lay out the organization of the pages quite yet, but of course, they all must have their own theme. I was impressed by the vast variety and selections at Michaels of the scrapbooks and scrapbook supplies, but without a coupon, it is almost impossible to get over the prices. So while I picked up a couple other supplies, and some various scrapbook materials, I turned to Amazon to ensure I could find the same variety (much more, actually) and with better pricing. Some items were more expensive, but it all really depended upon the brand, and who the seller was. Also, many of the stickers were an add-on only item, but this was not a problem, since I was ordering so many. They did group the packages into just thee boxes worth, and I had ordered two scrapbooks, expandable pages, plus over 10 different themes worth of the stickers and decorations for the pages. Overall, these are a great quality product, and I am ecstatic that I have found a great brand, with products that are high quality. This is perfect for the little guys first scrapbook, despite me compiling two for his first year!

The album is nicer than I thought it would be. I’ll be happy to show this off once I complete the pages. You’ll be pleased with your purchase.

Overall, the album is very nice, but the one thing that irritates me is you have to buy THEIR refills in order to add more pages to the book. I already have a bunch of plastic sheets that I was hoping to add to this, but in order to expand the album, you need to get the extended metal screws from their refills. It would have been nice to have received some screws with the book, instead of having to buy more refills. Either way, the look and the feel of the album is lovely. I purchased the blue color and absolutely love the shimmer it has to is.

This book deserves a 5 star rating for so many reasons including:1. Has rich & elegant look; the slub texture of this type of silk catches the light & gives the book dimension. It might seem 'discolored' in places throughout but it's just the nature of the silk, not a defect.2. Extra fabric inside the book allows for expansion; add more pages as needed.3. The dust jacket also allows for expansion too, if you should keep it to protect the book4. The excellent quality should last a lifetime & beyond.I recommend the book to anyone wanting classic elegance to showcase a wedding, graduation, an anniversary or any special occasion.
