TumbleWearTW Aqua/Black Hipster Shorts

My petite 36-lb 6-year old daughter usually wears a 5T for pants -- but sometimes a 4T and sometimes a size 6. Because it's hard to know sizing from brand to brand, we purchased the TumbleWear shorts in sizes 3X (3T-4T), 2X (5T-6), and XS (7-8) for comparison. These TumbleWear hipster shorts in size 2X (5T-6) fit her perfectly, and were maybe just a smidge snug, but the TumbleWear XS 7-8 were much much too loose in the waist, and the 3X 3T-4T were definitely way too small. Her Danskin-brand hipster gymnastics shorts which are size "Small: 4-6" are actually a little bit looser in the waist than these 2X TumbleWear shorts. Overall, very happy with the quality of the shorts -- nice stretch in the material, and great color combination -- matches her team leotard nicely.

The fabric is fine, like most other dance pants we have (my daughter is 10 and has lots of Jazz shorts). From other reviews and the pictures I thought they might be velour, but they're not. The blue band is bright and sparkly and looks very nice. I ordered the Child Large and they fit my thin 10 year old just fine, but wow are they short! They could not get much shorter. These are what I'd call "booty shorts" and no way would I let her wear them anyplace but dance. I wish the legs were an inch or two longer. But they'll do, they seem like good quality and they are comfortable and she likes them.

I have had these shorts for five years, 3-8th grade, and they fit well and are my favorite shorts, great material, great fit, everything about these shorts are perfect

I got these for my daughter for her tap dancing class. Had bought extra small because her pants are kids size six. I had to send them back and get the small they fit better on her. She loves the colors.

Bought these for my daughter for gymnastics for over her leotard. This is the second time I have ordered these shorts. She grew out of the old ones and ordered again the next size up. They wash up great and fit perfect!

Wow! I will never spend a fortune at a dance shop again. These shorts are very cute, and they stay in place when she is flipping, dancing, and stretching. They are true to size, beautiful bright colors. Fast delivery, I ordered on a Monday and received them Wednesday. I also purchased the criss cross halter top

Fit perfectly for my 4 year old. Other brands have often been baggy around the legs. I liked them enough I bought another pair for my 6 year old in a different color.
