It's definitely Maxpedition
Like all Maxpedition products this little waistpack is made to take a beating and last for a very long time. In other words, it's overbuilt. Not a bad thing at all. I bought this item to go on my Condor 2 and carry water bottles. I liked that it's versatile and can also be used as a belt pouch or even just a general cargo pouch. You can roll the top flap back and just use the straps to 'harness in' a canteen (USGI canteens fit perfectly W/ Canteen cup.) And they don't fit so tightly that you have to wrestle them out of the pouch. There's also a nice nylon rainfly with drawstring that can be used to keep contents dry. I also sometimes carry a 32 oz. Coleman water bottle, that's square in shape. It fits very nicely as well. The two side pouches are great for a multi tool, flashlight, pocket knife, fire steel, Monocular, or spare pistol mags. The front pouch is large enough to carry things like IPhone, maps, or maybe even a small folding esbit stove. (the smaller Military models). The waistpack has molle on the back to use with tac ties, zip clips or whatever you use to attach it to a pack, but there's also a loop for belt carry. For use as a Canteen carrier or just as a pouch....maybe as a small survival or hiking pouch, It's just a great versatile Waistpack.

Its a Maxpedition
Strong, tuff, actually holds lotta stuff. Very good little waist bag. I didnt give it 5 stars cause I don't believe anything is perfect but this is pretty close. Little pricey but I would get one if I was you if you go on hikes or walk around a lot or even for biking

Not good for canteens of any kind
Does not fit anything. With a canteen in its main pouch the lid will not close, and if you try to put a canteen cup in it then you got a half hour commitment to taking it out.

Will not properly fit the entirety of the canteen shop ...
Will not properly fit the entirety of the canteen shop canteen system. It is a bit small so the flap and buckle will not work. It does have a drawstring sleeve on the inside that'll get the job done though.

Get a USGI surplus cover instead
Very tight squeeze putting a USGI canteen cup and canteen in it. Doesn't work well as a belt pouch due to the weight that can go in it. Works OK as a MOLLE pouch, but the belt loop causes it to sag away from the attached pack. Doesn't come with MOLLE attachment straps. A surplus GI canteen pouch is much cheaper, more practical, and a better deal in every way than this thing.

Nice waist pack
Nice waist pack. Well build, Maxpedition solid. Great add-on to the front of my Maxpedition Falcon 2. I was able to put a Leatherman Super Tool 300 and Spyderco folding lock back on one side pocket and a full size whistle and large paracord wrist band in the other. In the front pouch I was able to put 2 Yo Yo auto fishing reels, an Altoids tin full of various terminal tackle and fishing line and a Sucrets tin with my snare kit. In the main pouch I was able to fit substantial fire kit, a Sawyer Mini Squeeze water filtration system, 100' of #36 bank line, 100' of #12 bank line and 50' of 550 cord. There is molle webbing on the back and the pouch also has a very large belt passage that could easily fit a military web belt if need be. I would recommend this to any one who wanted to add some more capacity to their pack.

maxpedition m-4 waistpack
This is a great item.It is as advertised. However it is a little overpriced IMO. I have had this for a little over 2 years and it has been very usefull and held up very well.It does get a little tight with a heavy canteen cover stuffed into the bottom with the military canteen cup and stove, the plastic canteen makes for a tight fit with the Y split that goes over the top, and the flap tucked neatly into the back.. It is a great item but i do believe the price is a little high.

Works well as my Daily Carry
The material is extremely durable. I can get there my iPhone, Leatherman Wave multitool, tactical flashlight, fire starter, 2 pens, small notepad, keys, sunglasses, and there is still space for more. Something cool about it is the way the main compartment doesn't seem to collapse, giving you the impression that you are carrying an extremely flexible box.It also has an internal waterproof bag on the main compartment but if you do not want to use just push it towards the bottom and it won't get on your way. Another plus is that it does not get a lot of attention from co-workers or people in general when going about your own business. The only drawback I can think of, is that the secondary compartment doesn't have dual zippers. If I want to get my iPhone on that compartment and use my headphones I need to leave the zipper half opened.I had become a Maxpedition fan.

Very useful waistpack in the well known Maxpedition quality.Extra rainprotected cover inside.I'll be using it on my Lowepro S&F belt to take an extra lens or flashlight with me.

Good, but could be better and US issued canteen pouch is way better
Sold it few weeks after the purchase as I was annoyed by the fact there is no molle attachment(only maxpedition ties, which are quite expensive tbh for what they are). Material and finish - typical maxpedition although the 'ballistic';) nylon feels bit thin, no biggie I guess. Bought an un-issued US canteen pouch and although it was three times cheaper - it's molle compatible and really well made, plus the strap can be adjusted heavily unlike the maxped...if you're okay with camo pattern than get yourself the US un-issued canteen pouch and you'll be more than happy:)
