Guesstures - The Game of Split-Second Charades First Edition

I purchased this game after I realized that the other Guesstures game I purchased was not the original game. I had played the original version several other times always with lots of merriment. After playing it in 2007 and 2008, I had searched for it, but it wasn't available new. Then to my surprise I saw it this year, a different color but same name. I bought it as soon as I saw it only to discover it was a different version - albeit still fun, with just much easier clues. After realizing that, I decided to order this one, used, for when it was just adults playing so that the challenge and enjoyment of more obscure clues would be available. You need at least 4 players, I found that 6 players are more fun. I think it is too difficult for the preteen (for that age use the newer version). The game is more fun than charades especially for someone like myself who isn't very creative and do not like thinking up topics. This game supplies the word, our job is to just get your team to say it. Again - loads of fun and the game itself can last for a short time (<15 minutes) or a long time....and can include a large and uneven number gathering.

This is the old version and a gift to our adult kids. They love it. It is a game a lot of people can play. We have had our game for years.

Great, fun game! I bought used and the timer didn't work which really means the game is worthless, so I contacted the seller with low expectations since it was used but they responded and immediately sent me a new timer! Great company to work with!!

I can't believe there is a 99% approval rating for whomever I bought the game from. It's so disappointing and just awful. I have the game from over 25 years ago and just wanted a new one because the timer doesn't work anymore. When I got the "like new" game on line, it was barely better than my 25 year old game. The box is worn, the stickers are coming off. The box of cards inside is worn. The ONLY thing that makes it better than the game I already have is that the timer works. That's it. I'm soooooo disappointed!

Love this game! Played all the time back in the day. Only complaint, which is a small one, is that the last card that's supposed to drop sometimes gets stuck. But we can work with it.

I was SO happy to receive this from Joeybooks! I needed a new Guesstures game last year and had ordered one online in the past... it was a “newer version” and broke right away. I was hoping to get an old version so ordered a used one from Joeybooks and was thrilled to see that it was brand new (never used actually) and works perfectly. My husband is going to be REALLY happy when he see this, too!

easy to play but a barrel of laughs. almost any age group. break out this game and prepare to guffaw...a good buy

I am able to use the game but the cards are bent in such a way that it does not allow the cards to fall from the Mimer-Timer as they should. At first I almost sent it back because I thought the Mimer-Timer was broken but a friend pointed out the oddly bent cards. I must continue to bend the cards back each time we play and they seem to fall a little better each time. It was frustrating at first but it has gotten better. I don't know what happened to the cards because beside the bent they were in great condition.
