Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer, Durable Car Restorer for Faded Black Plastic, Vinyl, and Rubber, Restores Deep Color and Shine, for Car Guys, 12 Oz

I purchased a used Dewalt Black Chrome 184-piece tool set off eBay at all really great price. The tools are in great condition - the case, however, was really dirty as use can see in the attached photos. I did a bit of research and landed on the Meguiar's plastic restorer. I was truly impressed. It restored the case nicely, granted not perfect, but far nicer than the condition it arrived in. Take a look at the photos for yourself. I am very pleased with the results. The process was super simple. I thoroughly washed the outside of the case with soap and water. It cleaned up well, but was still very dull and cloudy white. I allowed it to dry fully and then applied the Meguiar's restorer. It worked great! Also, the description of the product is/was accurate relative to it leaving no sticky residue or strong smell. Slight scent, but pleasant and easily bearable. And last, due to my slight OCD, I'm going to repaint the gold Dewalt logo on the front of the case, too. That should complete the process. Definitely five out of five stars!

I used Meguiar’s Ultimate Black on my families vehicles and it made a massive difference. All of them had plastic trim that had faded to a chalky look, but this brought back the shiny black look pretty much instantly. It also adds UV protection which hopefully will extend the life of the plastic trim. It's also pretty nice using it on the interior trim to hopefully help prevent the dash from cracking as it gets older. The best part is that it isn't sticky or greasy. It dries quickly and doesn't just wash right off the exterior trim after a few car washes unlike other products I've tried that only lasted a few minutes. Just a quick heads-up on the really faded trim pieces, I had to do two coats to get it to apply better. It also smells pretty good too. I just used a microfiber cloth to rub it in and it worked perfectly. It’s a super easy way to make an older car look almost brand new :)

Super impressed with this product! I've only done my fenders so far because I wanted to see how it worked and it works. Super easy and smells surprisingly nice. Great quality for such a cheap price. My fenders look brand new and the black sparkles.

Great product that truly restores your car’s look! This is my second time purchasing this product, and for good reason. It keeps the black trims on my car looking like they just rolled out of the factory, deep, rich, and clean. The finish lasts much longer than other products I’ve tried, even after several washes. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is the container design, it can be a bit tricky to dispense without making a mess, as it occasionally splashes out more than expected. Aside from that, it’s a fantastic product that delivers excellent results and is well worth the purchase.

My door handle where the lock is on the passenger side was looking really rough. I googled options to fix it and this product came up. For under $9 I thought it couldn’t hurt. I am posting pictures because I am completely shocked that this product worked so well. I used it on all the plastic in my car inside first then outside. So not only did it make the problem area look better the whole inside and outside looks brand new. Would definitely recommend.

I recently used this on my 2016 Camaro convertible. Living in the desert Southwest, protecting exterior plastics is important because the sun is brutal. Since my car is about 10 years old, some of the plastic trim had started to fade. I decided to give this product a try. I’ve used Wipe New in the past, which works, but it can be difficult and messy to apply. This product is much easier to use, which is what attracted me to it. The bottle size is generous, and now I understand why. Application was very easy and clean with no issues. It definitely improved the appearance of the plastic, but it did not restore it to a like-new look, and it does not add any noticeable shine. The finish is more natural and matte. After several car washes and a few months of use, the effect has worn off and I will need to reapply it. Because of that, I’m giving this three stars. I was hoping for a longer-lasting result and a bit more depth or shine. That said, it does work, and the big advantage is how easy and clean it is to apply compared to other products. If you don’t mind reapplying it more frequently, it’s a solid option. Overall, I would use this again and would recommend it, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Applied this product to exterior trims. As it is a paste apply like a car polish. Rub it into the plastic with a polishing cloth, it helps penitrate the plastic. It gives the plastic a deep black matt finish and restores faded trims incredibly well. It will cover minor scratch damage on the trims. There is enough paste to possibly apply later application depending on the trim surfaces. The left part of the photo shows the untreated part of the trim

Ero scettico sull'efficacia del prodotto. Ma fortunatamente mi sono sbagliato. Se utilizzato bene, offre dei risultati sorprendenti. Praticamente le plastiche del mio scooter sono diventate come nuove. Incredibile risultato. Consigliatissimo.
