I have several pairs of suede shoes. Most are boots but a few pairs are ballet slipper style shoes. Though I am more careful when I am wearing suede than any other kind of shoe, accidents will happen and I like to treat my shoes well so that they last me a long time. This suede protector spray is a great way to finish my shoe care. I have a suede shoe cleaner kit that helps get stains out and brush suede so that it looks uniform across my shoes and boots. Finishing with this spray helps to lock in that cleaning and protect my shoes against rain drops, spills, etc. This spray is lightweight, does not have a strong smell, and was easy to use. It took a few pumps to get the pressure going in the nozzle but then I was able to get a fine mist to spray out and it lightly and evenly coated my suede boots. To really test this out, I chose to clean both of my black suede calf-height boots but then to use this suede protector spray on only the right boot. I let that boot dry thoroughly after applying two coats and then took a picture to compare after a few hours. I was pleased to see that this suede protector spray dried clear and left no residue behind. This is a great quality spray and a great value for the price. I feel that this bottle will last me a year or more based on spraying my boots and shoes at the start of the season, then spraying them again after cleaning them as needed.

This suede protector is easy to use and works well, too. I put it on my suede bag that is new and was (at least for me) somewhat pricey. I want to take good care of it, and this suede protector spray is really helping me do that. My bag is resisting raindrop stains as well as usage stains on the handle. The top of the handle is the place that seems to get grimy and turn dark first, because that area is touched so often. So far my bag still looks new and I am really happy about that. I applied the protector spray while outside, thinking the spray would be messy or have a chemical odor, but that turned out not to be the case. I think you'd be fine using this spray indoors. It is odorless and seems very gentle, almost like water. I laid an old towel on the porch and placed my bag on it, then sprayed away. I followed the instructions on the product: I sprayed it on my bag lightly, then it it dry for 10 minutes, then sprayed again. Then I flipped the bag over and repeated that on the other side. I was careful to cover all surfaces twice, including the bottom of the bag and the handle. It went really easily and was mess free and odor free. The spray dries quickly and is invisible when dry. I do want to add that the sprayer applies a fine mist for the most part, but there were a few larger droplets that splattered out. The spray is sort of milky looking, and I kind of had a mini panic attack when I saw the tiny white wet dots on my bag. No worries, though, because a few minutes later the droplets had disappeared. This stuff really is invisible when dry, even the larger droplets of it. This bottle isn't large, but the spray goes a long way, especially on shoes, which are typically not large items. I covered all surfaces of my bag twice, and still have plenty left over to protect some of my suede shoes and boots, and to do a re-coat of all my suede items at some point in the future.

Easy application, dries quick

I used this spray on my son's brand new Jordan retro cleats. They were quite expensive and I wasn't expecting portions of them to be suede so I was nervous they would be instantly ruined once they hit the field. I used a coat of this, let it dry then later applied another coat. He's had 6 games so far. The cleats have definitely gotten dirty, but they are so much easier to clean after games! I take some dawn power wash and a nail brush and the dirt comes right out of both the leather and the suede. I was so impressed that I sprayed it on all of my Dooney purses too. The smell is much lighter than some of the other shoe spray brands so you're not struggling to breath when spraying the shoes. It dries quickly and does not discolor any of the fabrics. Overall, definitely a great product!

I usually use the Apple Guard brand but ran across this on Amazon and decided to give it try. I like to coat all my suede and canvas purses, and my canvas shoes before I wear them to help keep them clean and from getting spotted. After using this, it has really made a difference in my items. You spray this on, I do a couple coats about an hour apart. I recommend doing the spraying outside or in a ventilated area. I usually do mine in my bathroom with the vent on, I hang the item in my shower and spray in there so over spray only goes into the shower. I let the item hang dry, repeat. I haven't had any spotting or turning of the color of my item. I've done suede and leather purses, along with Hey Dudes and Tom's canvas shoes. Everything item that I've done has turned out great and has not gotten dirty when I've worn it. I cannot tell that they've been sprayed either so no, weird coating or feel to the item after application. The only difference I've seen with this brand and the Apple Guard is that this one is a bit stinkier when spraying.

I Was Nervous to Use This… Now I’m Wondering Why I Waited I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous spraying this on my Uggs. Suede feels like one of those things you’re not supposed to mess with, and I didn’t want to ruin a good pair of boots. Turns out… I should have done this a long time ago. It goes on easily, with no weird smell, and most importantly, no color change. That was my biggest concern, and it passed that test right away. My boots still look exactly the same, just more protected. And once you think about how much you spend on suede shoes, it really makes sense. Why don’t they just sell them like this, already protected? It makes that much of a difference. Now I don’t stress as much wearing them out, especially living life on the Rock ’n’ Roll Highway, where things get a little dusty, a little unpredictable, and definitely not gentle on shoes. It’s simple, it works, and it helps keep everything looking fresh. Value for money is strong. This is one of those small things that ends up saving you a lot in the long run. Five stars from me. Total shoe saver.

This suede protector really works as promised and contains a generous amount for the price. I have already used it on two pairs of boots, a pair of sneakers and two pairs of clogs and I still have product left. The instructions are straightforward(and printed on both the box and the bottle) and application is very easy. It warns of an odor with first use, so I used the product outside, but if there was one, it was very subtle because I never noticed it. After the second applications,when my shoes were thoroughly dry, I did sprinkle them with water, to test the effectiveness of the water resistance. As soon as I saw the water beads roll off, I knew they were good to go.

My partner has a thing for suede shoes. Can’t explain it, but she loves them. So I’m constantly on the hunt for protectant sprays. I found this one, which has done a very good job, albeit with some confusing instructions. The spray itself is odorless and does a great job not altering the color. Water and other materials just run off of the shoes, just make sure to get that second coat on. The instructions vary a little, the box saying 10 minutes while the bottle says 30. We went with an hour to be safe between coats. Most importantly, the bottle had enough for the two coats of shoes, and still have plenty left. I imagine we could do at least four more coats (2 pairs with 2 coats each) with what’s left in the bottle. Very generous amount to cover all of our needs. Great product, they just need to make sure the instructions are clear across the board. Otherwise, this is a slam dunk.
