Great Expectations: The Original Classic Novel by Charles Dickens

For my grand-daughter. She liked print size and margins for notes

This is not "book sized", but NOTEBOOK sized. It's HUGE and IDK who would want this version. I guess maybe that's what "student edition" means? …Live and Learn.

This was the first work by Charles Dickens that I have ever read and I already know I will read it many more times. The writing is so accessible to a modern reader--more so than I was assuming it would be. The complexity of this novel is absolutely astounding and yet, the main character, Pip, is very relatable at the same time. Dickens' sense of humour is very subtle but frequently had me audibly laughing--much to the surprise of those around me who simply assumed I was reading some, "stuffy old novel." This edition is great for student notes. It has a lot of room for writing in endless amounts of analysis and the inevitable shocked reaction.

The book is very VERY big. Id consider this a textbook. I expected a novel built book but this is what came instead..
