Shop Desiretech - EU Travel Adaptor - 2 Pack - UK 3 Pin to EU 2 Pin Plug - 16A, 250V - Compact & Portable - CE Certified, Safe, Heat-Resistant - Travel Accessory for European Trips - White. Free delivery and returns on eligible orders. Review: Travel friendly - Good value for money and travel friendly. Review: A useful adapter to run low powered devices on a trip to Europe. - I ordered the Desiretech - EU Travel Adaptor - 1 Pack - UK 3 Pin to EU 2 Pin Plug as I was going on a trip to the EU and needed a way to plug in my collection of chargers for various devices that are essential on a trip away from home. The adapter plugs into a 2 pin + Earth European socket and presents a standard UK 3 pin 13 Amp socket to the user. I added a 4 way 3 pin plug adapter on a short cable to my luggage and with that plugged into the adapter I had ample UK sockets for the low current supply required to plug in most of my chargers at once. It was really easy to do, the device fitted snugly in the Euro socket and weighed less than 50 grams so my luggage allowance wasn't impinged, even with the most picky of budget airlines. The item is manufactured from the typical plastic that consist of most cheap goods from China, so it didn't have a quality feel to it, but it did the job OK. The device has a rating of 13 Amps and 250 Volts stamped on the front, but bearing in mind it's lightweight construction I wouldn't entertain running high powered devices with it, but for my usage with low current drawing chargers etc. it wasn't a problem. At the current price of £5.99 I feel that it represents reasonable value for money.

Good quality UK -> EU adapter
I got this for business trips to the EU so it would be perfect for that as the equipment plugged into it are low power. Even though it states 13A (equals a power of 3120W) I personally would never plug an electric kettle into one of these adapters, if you need to do that changing the plug would be better, but for laptops, hairdryers, chargers, travel irons and other things used during travel should be fine. The plug itself is quite light weight in feel, but it does seem to be well made, it has the earth pin safety gate mechanism to prevent kids poking objects into the live hole, and it works, the spring is strong. I looked inside and all the electrical contacts look solid and a decent thickness so I didn't have any red-flags regarding safety, the adapter also accepts an earth pin from EU sockets that have this (not all do) so it is 100% compatible with anything you will see across the EU bloc. Note: as stated in the description this is only an adapter to allow a UK plug to be used in an EU socket, it does not convert or in any way change the voltage. I have an EU extension lead coming from when we lived there so I was able to test it, it went into the socket easily as you would expect and it worked without issue using a hairdryer. So overall, I would say it works well, appears to be good quality and is great value for the price.

Quality but a bit chunky for me
There are so many EU travel adaptors on the market that it is hard to make a choice. They vary in price considerably from under £2 each to £10. This plug is mid-table in terms of price. To compare, you need to work out what you are going to do with it. If it is for a high power application, like a hairdryer, then you need something capable of handling 13A. Many of the cheaper ones don't handle this, but this one does. For peace of mind, you might want to select one with CE or BS specification. Once again, this one has both. You also need to check whether the adaptor has an earth pin - the really cheap ones often don't. Of course, you also want the safety shutter. This one has all of those. So, this adaptor ticks all the boxes. Why 3 stars? There are similarly specified adaptors that are cheaper but my biggest dislike is that it is too chunky. I know from past experience that you may be plugging into a socket with little space around it. The smaller the size, the more likely it is to fit. This one both sticks our from the socket a long way, and also has a square face meaning that it overlaps nearby sockets. It is a quality item and may well work for you, but I would always prefer a more compact adaptor so I can guarantee that it will fit into a tight socket (e.g. in an extension block)

Good quality travel adapter of European trips
This little gadget has become an essential travel accessory for my trips across Europe. The design is compact and portable, making it incredibly convenient to pack in my luggage or even carry in my handbag. It easily fits in any travel pouch, which is a huge plus since I always try to travel light. The adapter converts the UK 3-pin plug to the EU 2-pin format, which means I can use my appliances and chargers without any hassle. It supports enough amps, ensuring that I can charge multiple devices without worrying about compatibility or overloads. This is especially useful when I’m on the go and need to recharge my devices quickly. What I really appreciate is its CE certification, which gives me peace of mind knowing that it meets safety standards. The heat-resistant material adds another layer of reassurance when using it with various electronic devices. Using the adapter is straightforward— I just plug it in, and I’m good to go. I’ve used it with my phone charger, laptop, and even other gadgets without any issues. It holds securely in the socket, and I didn’t experience any wobbling or loosening while in use. In terms of aesthetics, the white colour is sleek and simple, making it blend well with any travel gear that I have. In summary, I highly recommend the Desiretech EU travel adapter. Its compact size, reliable performance, and safety features make it an essential travel companion. I’m glad I added this to my travel gear, and I’m sure it will serve me well on future trips.
