Great quality for the price. Grids are usually very expensive so I was willing to sacrifice quality but I didn't have too. Very pleased and impressed.

It’s a great product viewed through the lens of value for money. I had to buy a replacement for one that got torn up by a PA; they are not sturdy in any sense of the word. But they work very well if handled delicately.

My other softboxes are the Paul Buff easy open ones. They work like an umbrella. This one is a bit more time consuming to put together and take apart, but it is also a lot lighter. The fit was easy. The quality of the light was exactly as i would expect.

I bought this unit late in 2012 and did not get a chance to use it until early 2013. The material was so fragile it came apart in my hands. I went on to their site which said returns within 14 days of purchase. So, I'll eat this one; but I won't buy anymore of their products. My fault for not checking; but, I have to say this is the first product I bought that a manufacturer was afraid to back up.

I was so nervous buying this, but when the only other retailer was out of stock for over a month with no hope of having their grid available , I had no other option.My only frame of reference is Paul C Buff. These are no where near s durable. You should NEVER pull them off with any amount of force -- If you can hear the velcro from across the room, that's too fast!! Instead, I carefully remove them one bit at a time.I also inserted them about an inch inside the softbox, leaving an inch of velcro in case I needed to throw the diffuser on top quickly and din't have time for the slow removal.Most importantly, I installed the grids with the velcro near the outside of the softbox and the side without velcro on the inside. I suspect that they will tear more easily if you're pulling on the part that isn't attached.I don't expect to remove these grids very often, so I think these will work for me as long as I handle them with kid gloves. The short story is that it works just fine - its some sort of fabric/plastic material that does the trick. Unfortunately the first time I went to remove it (after about a month) it tore 5 or 6 squares apart. Attempted to carefully remove it from the bottom side and the same thing happened. It's not going to last long. It's my fault for buying cheap, now I get to buy again...when will I learn?!

Easily attached to the Softbox and renders wonderful light

I bought this one to replace one of my egg crates that had fallen apart. My first one started tearing the first time I used it. You must be very delicate with these things. They work very well for controlling your light, just be careful. These things are flimsy at best.I am satisfied with these for my purposes, however for the price I would have expected something with a bit better build quality.
