Sturdy construction, works well.
This review is for the Charger City bracket holder for various cell phones. It's sturdy, fits my Garmin GPS friction(bean bag) mounts. It holds my LG V20 and Samsung A21 securely in landscape position. Unlike another review, I found that if you clip it to the phone near the bottom of the phone, it will hold the device in portrait mode(see photo). It has rubberized clamps and holds phones securely enough to prevent slipping. I have one bracket for each friction mount. I have been using the bracket holder with a phone on a friction mount for Zoom / WebEx meetings, and for GPS map while my Garmin GPS is being replaced.

Works great with my gps dash pad
A little big but I understand it needs to work with oversized phone. Works with my iPhone 14 in a thin case no problem. Will work with my wife’s iPhone 15 pro max as well.

Just what I wanted!
I absolutely LOVE when something performs exactly how it is supposed to. I had the sandbag base for my Garmin GPS so I saw NO need to buy another one when all I needed was the "Clip" to hold my iPhone 7 plus. It also holds my Garmin GPS which is about a 1/4" bigger than my iPhone in a Speck case. It holds it perfectly in Landscape mode which I will be using it in almost 100% of the time. It can be turned to use it in portrait mode if you so desire. I love the sandbag base as I didn't want anything that adheres to the windshield or the dash. I've used the base for YEARS with my GPS and have NEVER had a problem with it slipping or moving. Very happy with my purchase. Five Stars on this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Exactly what I needed.
I have a 2011 Mini that has a phone holder that was installed when the car was new. I've owned the car a couple of years and the clip broke when the plastic fatigued at about the 10 year mark. I had previously looked for the whole bracket and holder. No luck. Then, I found just the replacement for the clip holder. Taking the old off and installing the new clip was easy. Good as new for about $8.00. Should last a long time. Very sturdy.

Is ideal for only “sand bag” friction mounts that sit at face height on a dash, not a console.
This will work on a dash, but I prefer my phone/gps out of the sun and my driving line of sight down on the console. The problem I discovered (just got this device today) right off is it has little pivoting range. Thus the strong curve of the ball neck prevents any balluseful placement other than on the dash top. The Garmin Navi I sometimes still use has a larger pivot range; the nut on this device severely limits that range. Ideally down on the console the screen should face up, but that can only be done with a strong-angled bean bag placement on some part of the console that curves up. One really needs a ball neck that’s straight, then the base can sit flat on a console and have the device screen facing up or slightly tilted toward the driver, and down where sun doesn’t washout the screen. I also note that my Samsung S10e with a good rubber protective case is heavy enough to overcome the nut’s clamping power on the ball. A bumpy road and the device is likely to gradually slip down out of position. The nut is as tight as I can get it, but should more solidly secure the sleeve around the ball.

It fits the base and holds the dashcam
While my Garmin GPS doesn't get much use anymore, that terrific sandbag style base has gotten a second life holding our dashcam, thanks to this bracket holder. It snapped in perfectly into the old garmin sandbag base and the wide clip mouth is able to expand to hold the camera and keep it in place. Only possible drawback is that the arm of this holder is a bit long, so depending on the distance from your dashboard to your windshield, your phone/dashcam may not fit, which is an issue we ran into with one of our cars.

Good Replacement for Broken Claw
Saves money over buying a whole new phone holder. This part is easy to install and works well, except the pin keeps working it's way out and you have to press it back in. I think a spot of glue would work. That wouldn't stop me from buying it again.
