Dark roast to die for...
"This" is the taste I've been looking for....if you like a nice, flavorful dark roast, this is it! Not bitter, just great, rich coffee. Pretty color too!

Good coffee, get it on sale
Good coffee, high quality, good deal when it's on sale. I've enjoyed the full body flavor that's still smooth. The large-sized bag means I don't have to shop for it as often.

Excellent Coffee.
Just got my shipment from Amazon. This has to be some of the best coffee I've ever tasted. Strong (what I like) but not bitter with no aftertaste. I'm definitely going to subscribe, so I never run out.

Great cuppa brew. Bag access is terrible.
Smooth, while bold and full flavored. My husband and I both really like this coffee. That says a lot, considering we have been all over the world sampling coffees. Kinda serious relationship with this nectar of the Gods. For a day to day brew, this is a pleasant local-ish discovery. Plus, it’s organic. Big points here. Downside? THEIR BAGS SUCK. I have to mutiliate the heck out of the top, usually tearing it above the seal and have to take scissors to a corner to get into it. This has been the case with every bag from this brand (I’ve gotten maybe 8?). I’m menopausal and have zero patience to fight to get into every bag. I get annoyed. The dogs get the “she has that look” on their faces. The husband give them an understanding consideration glance…. 🤣 This bag sitch will keep me from continuing on the suckfest of buying these beans. Fix your bag and I would likely be a lifetime customer. I’d even be willing to overlook the bagastrophe if you had mold-free beans.

This is the best coffee I've ever had. Strong but smooth and lots of great flavor.

Robust
Excellent for my self grinding coffee maker! Full bodied. A European coffee each morning is the best!

Average
I'm new to the coffee world and recently got a nice manual whole bean grinder Aeropress, and Mocapot to enhance my coffee experience. I am a foodie and liquor snob so I enjoy eating and drinking but only because of flavor profiles and how each flavor plays off one another. I like dark roasts and drink my coffee black, espresso style with a volume between short and long. I enjoy bitter notes and flavor that punches you in the throat without a grainy finish where each sip electrifies the taste buds without puckering your cheeks, but also having enough volume to be able to sip coffee in the morning. As I am getting into the coffee world my first brand was Petes Dark Roast. It was lightyears better than my Nespresso but in comparison to other brands it falls short. My second brand was Mayorga Muy Mucho, which is my favorite brand to date, however I wanted other brands to choose between. I freeze and vacuum seal my beans for freshness and rotate between brands each week. I had heard good things about Kicking Horse but this bag fell through for me. The flavors seem immature in comparison to Mayorga and the taste is a much watered-down version of what I had gotten used to. I know that Kicking Horse has some other dark roasts but I'd rate the flavor as average and because of that I'm not interested in trying additional flavors. I have incorporated expresso vodka from Van Gough Distillery into my espressos and a dash of burbon cream, both from Mayorga and Kicking Ass, and when blind taste tested Mayorga comes out on top for both me and others I served. The packaging was fine, everything about the company was fine, just not a flavor that I enjoy. If you enjoy rich, bold, dark roasts, try Mayorga Muy Mucho instead.

The coffee was mouldy because it had expired more than three months before I received it

My sister introduced me to KickAss and I have never looked back. It brews a full bodied, flavor full cup of coffee. I like mine black and it is smooth with no bitter bite. I ship this stuff all the way to Singapore!

Price was good. It is a nice dark roast with great flavour. I buy this brand a lot and tried a few, this is one of my favourites. I live BC Canada and the company is on Vancouver Island so somewhat local. I have bought at the grocery stores but as usual, you can’t beat Amazons price. Absolutely give it a try. Our favourites are the 454 Horse Power, Grizzly and Kick Ass.
